Soul Café & Shop
Tucked in Pai's Tambon Wiang Tai neighbourhood, this café and shop has earned a loyal following among both travellers and locals for its fresh, quality food and genuinely warm hospitality. The English-speaking staff are consistently noted for their attentive and friendly service, and the relaxed pace of the place reflects Pai's unhurried character well. The menu leans toward brunch-style eating, with freshly pressed juices and dishes made from fresh ingredients drawing repeat visitors. The outdoor area features water elements that contribute to a tranquil, quiet atmosphere, complemented by thoughtful music choices. The space is on the smaller side, so seating can feel snug during busier periods, but this also adds to the intimate, community-feel that regulars clearly appreciate. An adjoining shop offers locally sourced products, making it a practical combined stop for refreshments and browsing. Soul Café & Shop opens at 08:30 and closes at 17:00, Monday through Saturday, making it well suited for a morning coffee, a leisurely brunch, or an afternoon break. Sunday is the one day it does not operate, so it is worth planning around this if visiting on a weekend. During Pai's peak tourist season, arriving earlier in the day helps secure a table and ensures the most relaxed experience before the space fills up.

Visitor Reviews
Great vibes, service and food! A really relaxing and quiet spot for a delicious meal or drinks. We loved the music and the tranquil feel of the place from the water features in the outdoor area! The nourish bowl was delicious and my boyfriend's smoothie bowl looked equally as amazing. We also shared a raw cheesecake which was incredible!!! There is also a whole pantry of refillables, nibbles and even jewellery and little gifts. Really recommend this cozy little place - the staff were so so lovely too☺️
Not only is the food here delicious and fresh, the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. They also speak English and greet you with a smile. I've been back twice already, I plan to visit for the next month.
The atmosphere is chill and calm. The food tastes great, you can tell they use fresh ingredients. The freshly pressed juice was the finishing touch to my brunch! Highly recommend!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
