10RAI sunsetviewcafe
Perched on a hillside in Mae Hi village a short ride from Pai town centre, this open-air cafe and bar sits at the edge of a working farm and has become a popular stop for travellers chasing northern Thailand's famously atmospheric sunsets. There is no entry fee to visit, and food and drinks are priced accessibly, making it an easy, low-commitment addition to any afternoon in the area. The vibe leans casual and social, with EDM music, a cannabis-friendly atmosphere, and an energy that draws a younger crowd looking to linger rather than rush. Visitors can expect a relaxed outdoor setting with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, best appreciated in the late afternoon as the light shifts. Food and drinks are available, though at least one visitor notes the kitchen can be slow during busy periods, so arriving with patience — or ordering early — is advisable. The cafe functions equally well as a place for dinner, sundowners, or simply a seat to watch the sky change colour. Motorbikes are the dominant mode of arrival, which creates congestion around the parking area during peak hours. Good to know: The cafe opens daily at noon and closes at 8 PM, making it suited to late lunch, early dinner, or the sunset window, which typically falls between roughly 5:30 and 6:30 PM depending on the season. Arriving by 4:30 PM on busy days helps secure a good vantage point. The venue is most easily reached by motorbike from Pai town; those without transport should arrange a hire in advance.

Visitor Reviews
An absolutely breathtaking view that truly stands out. While it was a bit noisier than expected, the scenery more than makes up for it. The surroundings are still beautiful and impressive, and the view remains the main highlight of the experience. Overall, a great place to enjoy an incredible view, even if it’s not completely quiet.
Stopped by to watch the sunset, eat some dinner and have some drinks and overall had a great time. Spent the prior sunset at the popular Two Huts down the road which was also nice but was A LOT more crowded. 10Rai had pretty similar views with half the crowd but still had enough people there to create a fun atmosphere. As other reviews stated, the food can take a while to get but i honestly did not care much as I was enjoying the view and had a good chat while I waited.
I had my dinner there one evening. It was raining and too dark for me to ride my bike back to the center, so I asked the owner if I could stay there for a night. She allowed me to set up my hammock in the DJ booth! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality! Will definitely visit this place again to enjoy the view of rice field at sunset ;)

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
