Sopa Seafood
Tucked along Soi Ta-Kiab Bay in the quieter Nong Kae area of Hua Hin, Sopa Seafood has built a loyal following among both returning tourists and local Thai diners who regard it as one of their favourite places to eat in the region. The kitchen prioritises freshness and straightforward preparation, letting quality ingredients carry the dishes. Steamed crab and stir-fried squid are consistently singled out by visitors — the crab for arriving impressively fresh, the squid for its satisfying, well-judged texture. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, in keeping with a well-run coastal seafood restaurant rather than a formal dining venue. Service is frequently described as attentive and prompt, and the menu offers enough variety to suit different tastes within a group. Pricing sits in the mid-range, which regular visitors consider fair given the quality and portion sizes. The location away from central Hua Hin means noticeably fewer crowds than restaurants closer to the main tourist strip. Good to know: Opening hours are not listed online, so it is worth calling ahead or arriving within standard Thai meal service windows — around midday to early afternoon for lunch and from late afternoon onward for dinner. During Hua Hin's peak season between November and February, arriving early is advisable to secure a table and access the freshest catch of the day.

Visitor Reviews
As a Thai person who love to eat, this is one of my favourite restaurant in Thailand. I look forward to coming here where the food is very fresh and thoughtfuly prepared. My favourite are steamed crabs, shrimp with tamarind sauce, seabass with lime and chilli, deep fried sun dried squid and sour soup with shrimp. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Some of them are speak good English. The atmosphere is old style open air and quite elegant surround with plants and trees, big car parking space. The prices are little high than other places in Huahin but the standard of the food and the service more than justified their prices. I think it's very reasonably prices.
Wonderful food experience. Excellent range, fast service, and delicious, well cooked and fair priced food. What a gem this place is. Every dish was delicious but for me the standouts of the day were the clams (done Thai hot, but I think they still dumbed it down for me as was not as hot as expected) and the crab curry. Definitely will be returning a couple more times before I have to leave. Put this place into your favourites folder.
Whenever I visit Hua Hin, I always stop by this restaurant. The food doesn’t take long to be served, prices are quite reasonable, not too crowded, and there are plenty of menu options to choose from. But the grilled shrimp was a bit too dry.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
