Lek Seafood Restaurant
Lek Seafood Restaurant has earned a loyal following among locals and visitors alike for its consistently fresh seafood and welcoming service in the Nong Kae area of Hua Hin. What sets it apart is the hands-on experience of selecting live seafood directly from tanks before it is prepared to order — a detail that speaks to the kitchen's commitment to ingredient quality. Signature dishes include steamed lobster, steamed crab, clams with Thai basil, and crab prepared in ways that showcase the natural sweetness of freshly caught shellfish. The restaurant operates across two floors, with air-conditioned seating available on the upper level — a practical comfort during Hua Hin's warmer months. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, with owners who are noted for attentive hospitality. Fried rice and other Thai staples complement the seafood menu, making it a well-rounded option for groups with varied preferences. Pricing is consistently described by visitors as reasonable relative to the quality on offer. Good to know: Specific opening hours are not listed online, so it is worth calling ahead or planning to arrive during standard Thai meal times. The restaurant can fill up during peak tourist season and weekend evenings, particularly when families and larger groups gather for dinner. Arriving earlier in the evening is likely to secure a table more easily and allow time to browse the seafood selection at a relaxed pace.

Visitor Reviews
Seafood here is super delicious! If you look for superb tasty seafood, here is the place. Fresh materials, skilled cooking, spicy seafood sauce, plus great hospitality from the owners! The dishes recommended by the owners are all great. Would like to give six Stars for the food and hospitality alone. However the place is a bit small. I see only 6 tables with 4 chairs each. So, it might be a bit challenge to receive large group or able to get the table during rush hours. Road side parking is also challenge, but if you try hard enough you will eventually get the spot. Excellent lunch, super fresh food, tasted really nice. We had steamed lobster, steamed crab and clams with Thai basil. My husband got to pick the fresh seafood himself from the tank. Very reasonable price, we spend about 1100 baht for everything
Good seafood. The quality of the ingredient freshness is super satisfying, as well as the taste and service mind in every staff member. Reasonable price. Have air-con second floor Highly recommend to all visitors.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
