Lanmanee Food Court
Conveniently located next to the White Temple's parking area in the Pa O Don Chai district of Chiang Rai, this food court serves as a practical and affordable dining stop for travellers exploring one of northern Thailand's most iconic attractions. Multiple stalls offer a range of local Thai dishes, including crispy pork with rice, roasted duck over rice, red BBQ pork, and fish soup, alongside freshly blended fruit shakes that have drawn particular praise from visitors. The atmosphere is busy and casual, especially during peak tourist hours when visitors combine a meal with a White Temple excursion. Seating is self-service, the setting is unpretentious, and the crowd is a mix of locals and tourists. Food quality and portion sizes are generally considered reasonable for the price point, with individual dishes running as low as 60 baht. Good to know: This food court operates on a prepaid card system — visitors must purchase a top-up card at the counter, with a minimum load of 200 baht, which is then used to pay at individual stalls. Cash is required to load the card, so come prepared with Thai baht. Any unspent balance can typically be refunded at the counter before leaving. Given its location beside a major tourist site, the venue can get crowded during midday, so arriving early or later in the afternoon may mean shorter queues.

Visitor Reviews
We came here for breakfast and got some crispy pork with rice which was wonderful. The portion was decent, cash only and you need to pay at the counter to then load a cash card to pay. There were quite a few options and service is very quick. “Jonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
You need to buy a top up card, with a minimum of 200 baht. We got two mains and two fruit shakes. The fruit shakes were delicious! Some of the best we have had! I ordered a fish soup and unlike the picture what turned up had no actual seafood just odd balls of flesh, in bright pink soup. I think this was just the one dish to avoid though as everyone elses food looked lovely.
White Temple is a great attraction for tourists who come to eat at this restaurant after long walks. This food court is located right beside the parking area of the White Temple and can offer you a wide range of food choices depending on your preference or mood. You can opt to go for multiple side dishes and mains and also try out their different fruit shakes. Upstairs, you can go all out and try out their buffet. If you and your group are still a bit full and don’t want to eat anything heavy, you can just chill on the ground floor of the food court and order some snacks or coffee. We don’t see how any other restaurant can beat this food court as it is quite literally beside the White Temple, the food selections are varied, and the prices are pretty affordable. You should definitely give this restaurant a shot when in Chiang Rai!

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
