ร้านขจร | Kajohn Authentic Southern Thai Cuisine
Tucked into the Pom Prap Sattru Phai district, this small restaurant brings the bold, spice-forward cooking of Thailand's southern provinces to Bangkok, offering dishes rarely found with this level of regional authenticity elsewhere in the city. Reviewers consistently highlight the depth of flavour and careful seasoning, with standout mentions of dishes like stewed pork ribs. The cooking leans toward intense heat and complex spicing typical of the south, though several visitors note the flavours remain approachable for those less familiar with the cuisine. The space is described by visitors as attractively decorated, with friendly staff who speak English, making it a comfortable choice for international travellers. The focus is firmly on the food, and the kitchen's consistency across visits has earned it a loyal following among both locals and tourists seeking something beyond standard Bangkok fare. Good to know: The restaurant opens at 5:00 PM and closes at 10:00 PM every day of the week, so it works exclusively as a dinner destination. There is no Tuesday closure to plan around, but arriving closer to opening time is advisable as the restaurant draws steady crowds. One reviewer has flagged that the venue offers a complimentary drink in exchange for posting a review, which is worth keeping in mind when weighing the overall volume of positive feedback. Social updates and current menu information are posted on the restaurant's Instagram account.

Visitor Reviews
I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, rich and bold flavors with that authentic Southern Thai touch. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, packed with spices, and so flavorful that I found myself wanting more with each bite. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, making it a great spot to have a quiet conversation without too much background noise. It’s a place where you can actually enjoy both the food and the place. Prices are on the higher side, but I feel it’s worth it given the quality of the ingredients, the authenticity of the flavors, and the overall dining style. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic, tasty Southern Thai food in a comfortable setting.
My friend and I came to try Southern Thai food here and absolutely loved all the dishes we had. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, staff are very friendly and spoke English. As for the food… The Crab and Bettel leaf curry was so delicious I wanted to lick the bowl. The crab was so soft and it was the perfect amount. The fried egg squid and chili garlic sauce was so tasty - recommend eating whilst it’s warm. The shredded morning glory was light and tasty - never had shredded mornings g glory and was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bangkok who was a quiet, ambient authentic Thai food experience.
Authentic southern Thai food but the taste is very friendly for foreigners. Portion is just like. Really recommend if you travel to Bangkok, swing by and taste it

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
