KUANG Seafood
Situated on Ratchada Road in the Huai Khwang district, this well-established seafood restaurant draws a steady crowd of both locals and visitors looking for fresh Thai coastal cooking in a casual, lively setting. The menu leans heavily into classic preparations, with dishes like crab curry, stir-fried squid with salted egg, and stir-fried prawns with curry among the highlights that diners frequently recommend. Portion sizes are generous, and the restaurant maintains a clean, comfortable dining room with additional seating upstairs. Visitors should come with realistic expectations: the kitchen delivers solid, flavourful seafood across a broad menu, though some diners note the pricing sits toward the higher end for the style of restaurant, particularly for larger groups ordering multiple dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed rather than refined, consistent with Bangkok's casual dining culture, and the kitchen runs from 11:00 AM through 1:30 AM every day of the week. Good to know: the late closing time makes this a convenient option after evening entertainment in the Ratchada area. Those visiting specifically because of its association with Korean actor Kim Seon-ho will find the connection genuine and well-known among fans. For larger groups, reaching out via the restaurant's Facebook page before arriving is a sensible precaution during busy evening hours. Note that ice is charged as an extra, which is worth keeping in mind when ordering drinks.

Visitor Reviews
I came here purely as a happy fangirl, following in the footsteps of my beloved Kim Seon-ho 💙 — and I can honestly say it was totally worth it! Not only did I get to visit a place connected to someone I admire so much, but the food was genuinely delicious too. Every dish was full of flavour and perfect for sharing, making it a great spot for a lovely meal with family. This turned out to be a fan moment that didn’t disappoint at all — amazing seafood, warm atmosphere, and a place that made my heart (and stomach) very happy. If you’re a Seon-ho fan or just looking for great seafood, this place is a must-visit! 🥰🦞
The food here was amazing!! We had different dishes and they were all really good. I recommend the crab curry and friend rice 🌸 If you ask for ice, they charge you extra for it. They have seating upstairs and downstairs. You can sit at a normal table or they have round tables for lazy Suzy style. It can get very loud but it is family friendly.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kuang Seafood and it was an enjoyable experience. The restaurant is clean and inviting atmosphere making it a comfortable spot for a meal. The prices are reasonable, offering good value for the quality of food served. We indulged in a delightful spread that included Yam Phra Fu, fish maw, crab omelette, and stir fried watercress. Each dish was delicious, fresh ingredients and good preparation. The fish maw delicately cooked and the crab omelette rich with generous crab meat. The stir-fried watercress added crisp to our meal. Overall, Kuang Seafood impressed with its delicious offerings clean ambiance and fair pricing. A definite recommendation for seafood lovers looking for a satisfying dining experience.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
