Gaysorn Amarin Food Court

4.3(829 reviews)

Tucked away on the fourth floor of the Gaysorn Amarin shopping centre on Thanon Phloen Chit, this food court stands out from typical mall dining thanks to its notably clean environment, well-organised layout, and the presence of Michelin-recognised vendors among its stalls. Visitors have singled out dishes like wonton noodle with pork from award-acknowledged stalls, making it a legitimate stop for Thai food rather than a convenience-only option. The atmosphere is comfortable and air-conditioned, with a wide selection of Thai food stalls covering everything from noodle soups and rice plates to desserts and drinks. Diners can sample dishes from multiple vendors and sit together at shared tables, which suits solo travellers, couples, and groups equally well. The setting is tidy and easy to navigate, and the quality of the food consistently surprises visitors accustomed to lower expectations from mall food courts. Good to know: Payment is handled via a prepaid cash card purchased at the food court — visitors will need to buy one before ordering from any stall. The food court operates daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with service winding down in the early evening, so it is best suited to lunch or a mid-afternoon meal rather than dinner. Arriving before noon or after the main lunch rush helps avoid the busiest periods. The location near BTS Phloen Chit makes it easy to reach by Skytrain.

Visitor Reviews

Went to the Gaysorn Amarin Food Court and honestly, it’s what happens when someone takes the concept of “lunch break” and gives it a luxury spa treatment. 🍽️💼 Everything feels neat, air-conditioned, and slightly too elegant for how much you’re about to eat. Located right in the heart of the shopping district, it’s filled with office workers, shoppers, and the occasional confused tourist who just wanted a pad thai but walked into a five-star version of it. 😂 The food selection is impressive — Thai classics, Japanese bento, noodles, salads, desserts, and coffee stalls that actually care about their beans. ☕🥢 Prices are higher than your average mall food court, but so is the quality. You’re paying for cleanliness, good seating, and the joy of eating khao man gai without sweating through your shirt. Everything I tried tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully plated (yes, even the noodles looked ready for Instagram). 📸✨ The vibe is calm and organized — no shouting vendors or chaotic queues. You can actually hear yourself think while eating, which is rare in Bangkok. 😌🌆 Perfect for a quick lunch meeting, a peaceful solo meal, or a refuel between shopping sprees. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s easily one of the most comfortable food courts in the city. 💎🥢

Large food court consists of countless Thai food stalls. Some of them have Michelin awards. Tried wonton noodle with pork (Michelin), and rice mixed with chicken and egg. The tastes were amazing. The Each dish is only around 70-80 THB, and the portions were okay. I came on the weekends so there were not many people. However during weekday, it will be full with office workers, so better to come earlier during weekdays. Overall a must try for anyone travel around Bangkok!

Hygienic, tasty and super affordable food served at this place. Only thing is you have to purchase a cash card at the food court for doing all the payments there. Only open for lunch, by evening 6-7 pm all outlet close. I personally found the prices very affordable when compared with street food outlets. Recommended place for tourists who wish for pocket friendly food spots.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food

Learn the Spice Scale

Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.

Follow the Crowds

The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.

Ice Is Safe

Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
