Eat Me Bangkok

4.7(272 reviews)

Tucked down Soi Samsen 2 in the historic Phra Nakhon district, this casual indoor-outdoor restaurant has earned a loyal following among both repeat visitors and first-timers looking for a reliable escape from the bustle of nearby Khao San Road. The relaxed, unpretentious setting — complete with a pleasant outdoor dining area — makes it an easy place to linger, and the kitchen's attention to presentation extends to small touches like a fresh flower garnishing every dish. The menu draws consistent praise for flavour and portion size, with dishes like mango sticky rice and stuffed egg wraps among the highlights visitors return for. The friendly, attentive service adds to the appeal, with staff noted for handling any issues promptly and graciously. It is the kind of neighbourhood spot that earns repeat visits during the same trip — several reviewers mention dining here more than once without seeking alternatives. Good to know: Eat Me Bangkok operates seven days a week from 8:00 AM until 1:00 AM, making it a practical option for everything from breakfast through to a late-night meal after an evening out. No advance booking appears to be required, and the relaxed atmosphere means casual dress is entirely appropriate. Its location in the quieter riverside neighbourhood of Phra Nakhon makes it a natural stop when exploring attractions in central Bangkok.

Visitor Reviews

This was our second time dining at Eat Me, and once again it absolutely delivered. My family and I came back because our first visit was exceptional — and somehow this time was even better. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, the service is warm and attentive without ever being intrusive, and every dish is packed with flavour and creativity. You can really tell how much care goes into the food and the whole experience. We tried a mix of favourites from last time along with a few new dishes, and everything was outstanding. Eat Me continues to be one of the true standouts in Bangkok’s dining scene — consistently high quality, beautifully presented meals, and a team that makes you feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back for a third visit. A must-try in Bangkok.

Love this spot so much I came back twice! Did not go anywhere else twice during my stay in Bangkok. I regularly eat a lot of incredible Thai food so it was refreshing to find a spot this good for a change. The crab fried rice here is a dream and the Thai iced tea is perfection. Service was very good both times from the younger girl. Would love to come here again!

Good food and a nice little spot. Great place to get away from the chaos of Khao San road. There is a cute little outdoor dinning spot and they are open pretty late. Came here twice with my boyfriend during our trip for some late night curry and beer.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food

Learn the Spice Scale

Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.

Follow the Crowds

The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.

Ice Is Safe

Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
