The Basement Nightclub
Tucked beneath Sukhumvit Road in the Khlong Toei district, this underground nightclub draws a mixed crowd of locals and visitors looking for Bangkok club culture outside the more polished, tourist-facing venues. The subterranean setting gives it a distinct character, with reviewers noting good sound, atmospheric lighting, and an overall energy that works well for groups, bottle service bookings, and late-night dancing. It sits comfortably in the middle of Bangkok's nightlife spectrum — not a mega-club, but not a dive bar either. Experiences here vary. Some visitors have had genuinely good nights, particularly those who book bottle service and settle in with a group. Others have found the entrance fee structure confusing — men typically pay around 300 THB and women around 200 THB, with a complimentary drink included that does not cover cocktails. A small number of reviews flag inconsistent security conduct and a venue that can feel hit-or-miss depending on the night. Good to know: The club is easily reached via BTS Skytrain or taxi, making it convenient from most central Bangkok accommodations. Opening hours are not consistently published online, so checking the venue's social media before heading out is advisable. Walk-up visitors have occasionally been offered free entry or a complimentary drink by staff outside, so it is worth asking on arrival. Smart-casual nightlife attire is appropriate; overly casual beachwear is best avoided.

Visitor Reviews
Unplanned visit, i was walking and some staff was outside. I get offered a free cocktail and free entry 😍 ( 350thb?) Look pretty small but clean sound, nice lights, worth a shot 😉 Well priced🙂
Overall, the club had a good atmosphere (lights, sound, decor). I got bottle service, which was serviced with staff serving/topping up drinks throughout the night. Everyone had a good time. It was mostly hip hop with some pop and techno. The temperature was good. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. The air quality was a bit rough towards the end of the night with cigarette and vape smoke accumulating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location and easy to find.
I came here and got a VIP table for my best friend’s bachelor party, I’m not actually a big fan of his wife so we’d been arguing a bit which is why I had to give a low score for the atmosphere. She’s not a bad person but she doesn’t appreciate his passion for art and thinks that our friendship doesn’t have proper boundaries. We were happy to have a comfortable sit down after a few hours in Soi Cowboy. My thighs were on fire. After a lovely separate shot and soft drink, served at different times we realised that in all our excitement we’d forgotten to eat! The evening was about to be completely ruined when my knight in white satin, Thong nI Krap arrived with a fine selection of beautiful crab sticks. This tuned the tone of the evening and by the time I’d dipped the second one into my friend, he’d all but forgotten that harpy he’s going to marry❤️
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
