Saphan Pla Night Market
Saphan Pla Night Market occupies an unusual and memorable setting: a working fishing pier on the edge of Hua Hin, where visitors browse food stalls while fishermen cast lines alongside them. This combination of local daily life and casual evening market gives it a character that is distinctly different from Hua Hin's more polished night markets. The seafood is the clear draw, sourced close to where it is sold, and vendors offer a range of cooked dishes and local specialties at mid-range prices. The market is relatively compact, so visitors expecting a sprawling bazaar may need to adjust their expectations. What it lacks in size it compensates for in atmosphere: open sea breezes, a relaxed pace, and vendors who are consistently noted for their friendliness. Beyond seafood and prepared food, a small selection of shopping stalls rounds out the experience. Weekends tend to attract more visitors, while Thursday and Friday evenings offer a quieter browse. Good to know: The market runs Thursday through Sunday from 5 PM to 11 PM, with evenings being the only option. Arriving between 5 PM and 7 PM allows for a more relaxed visit before peak crowds arrive. Comfortable footwear is recommended, as the pier surface can be uneven. For the latest vendor updates or event information, the market maintains a Facebook page at the link above.

Visitor Reviews
Nice local night market! Really unique as this is the first time I visited a night market sited at the pier. Breezy and lots of street food spoilt for choices and quite cheap as well. Worth visiting it but take note it's a weekend market. Can try the tom yum soup and it had 5 big prawns with mushrooms in it, grilled jellyfish and scallops were out favourite. We also bought a longan drink which is real longan, not the canned type and bought deep fried shisamo fish, grilled squid and sausages.
I had an amazing time here. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing, and full of charm, and all the vendors are so friendly and always smiling. It makes the whole place feel even more welcoming. With plenty of delicious food options at reasonable prices and a captivating evening view, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. I would definitely come back again.
Saphan Pla Night Market is unlike any other night market in Hua Hin. Located at the far end of a working fishing pier, it offers a striking blend of local life and quiet seaside charm. As you walk past the fishing boats and approach the pier, you’ll notice a simple but atmospheric setup: rows of blue tents selling grilled meats, seafood, snacks, and drinks, and a line of bright yellow tables and chairs facing the open sea. It’s all very casual—plastic stools, handwritten signs, the scent of seafood grilling in the air—and yet the setting makes it feel special. The market isn’t large, and it doesn’t try to be. There are no crowds pushing past souvenir stalls, no loud music, no commercial gloss. Instead, you’ll find families and couples sitting peacefully by the water, watching the sky turn pink over the horizon while nibbling on skewers or sipping cold drinks. Despite the market’s modest size, there’s enough variety in the food to make it worth the visit, and prices are noticeably lower than in the more tourist-centric parts of town. It had rained just before we arrived, so the ground was still glistening, adding a reflective quality to the whole scene. The air smelled of sea salt and grilled squid. A few vendors chatted with each other, while others quietly scrolled on their phones between customers. It felt local in the best sense—not a market trying to impress outsiders, but one that simply exists for people to enjoy the evening. This is a place you come to when you’re not in a rush. The mood is slow and serene, and the views—especially of the lights starting to flicker on at the Hilton in the distance—are lovely. If you’re after an authentic and peaceful end to your day, this is where you want to be.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
