Hua Hin Day Market
Hua Hin Day Market is a genuine, working local market where residents stock up on daily essentials alongside curious travellers keen to experience authentic Thai market culture. Open seven days a week from early morning, the market covers an impressive range of goods — fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, dried seafood, household items, and clothing — spread across a main area and a network of side streets worth exploring at a leisurely pace. The dried seafood selection is a particular highlight, offering both raw cooking ingredients and ready-to-eat snacks at competitive prices, and mango sticky rice is a popular street food find on site. The atmosphere is lively but orderly, with stall owners generally described as friendly and welcoming. The market caters primarily to locals, which means prices tend to reflect everyday Thai shopping rather than tourist markups. It functions as a wet market as well as a general goods market, so visitors can expect the sights, sounds, and smells of a fully operational fresh food environment. Arriving early is advisable, as the market gets busy as the morning progresses and the best fresh produce sells quickly. The market operates until 16:00 daily. Visitors arriving by car should be aware that parking can be limited, though paid parking is available nearby for around 50 Baht. Comfortable, practical footwear is recommended given the variety of stalls and side streets to cover.

Visitor Reviews
Great local real market. Dried seafood ( raw for cooking and cooked dried seafood for snack) are delicious and very good price. Mango sticky rice is a must try in there. The best I have had in Thailand.
Fabulous local food market including wet market. All your fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish including many household essentials and clothing. Get there early as it gets busy.
Serious parking problem unless you pay 50 Baht parking fee. No sea food stall. Place is quite clean and orderly. Come here often to buy beef. Typical night market but opens at around 2:30 pm.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
