VALA Hua Hin - Nu Chapter Hotels
Compare prices
Part of the Nu Chapter Hotels collection, this deliberately intimate resort sits on Phet Kasem Road in Cha-am, just south of Hua Hin, offering a small-luxury experience that stands apart from the larger, busier coastal properties in the region. The property's considered scale and design have drawn repeated comparisons to Maldives-style retreats, creating a sense of seclusion that feels rare for a beachfront destination this accessible from Bangkok. Guests can expect well-appointed rooms, including Sky Beachfront categories featuring oversized bathtubs with direct sea views, consistently clean facilities, and staff widely noted for genuine attentiveness and care. The on-site WOODS Restaurant adds a serious dining dimension to the stay, and the overall atmosphere rewards those who want to slow down rather than fill a schedule. The resort appeals to couples on romantic escapes as well as families who return season after season, with many guests treating it as a reliable annual retreat. Good to know: The Hua Hin and Cha-am coastline is a favourite weekend destination for Bangkok residents, and the resort fills quickly during Thai public holidays, long weekends, and the dry season between November and February. Beachfront room categories in particular book out well ahead of peak periods, so early reservations are strongly advisable. The property is reachable by car from Bangkok in around three hours, making it a natural fit for a road trip or an extended coastal stay.

Vala Hua Hin: A Fantastic Family Stay (But Book the Right View!) We love Vala Hua Hin, and it's become our go-to spot for our daughter's winter break—it never disappoints. The Room: This time, we booked the CView Pool Villa, and the room itself was amazing, as usual. Super spacious, comfy bed, a great bathtub, and all the amenities you need (plus a nice refillable MiNNiE bar). The staff are always on point and ready to help, and the breakfast is truly excellent. A Quick Tip on Views: I do have to mention one thing about the CView Villa: the sea view from our room was pretty poor—it was a small, angled slice. We ended up paying a small fee (3,000 THB) to upgrade to the Ocean Beachfront View for a day, and it made a complete difference. If you have the option, I would highly, highly recommend booking the Beachfront Pool Villa; it is 100% worth it. If you still go for CView, rooms 12 and 14 looked like they had much better sea views. Facilities: The hotel itself is beautiful. The main pool is fantastic and very "instagrammable"—you'll love it for photos! The gym is clean and has most of the equipment you need for a good workout. Yes, the food can be a bit pricey, but you expect that at a five-star hotel. Overall, it's a truly remarkable and beautiful place, and we will definitely be back again!
Stunning Resort with World-Class Service at WOODS Restaurant VALA Hua Hin is a breathtaking resort with endless photo opportunities. The atmosphere is serene, and the facilities are so complete that you won't feel the need to leave the property. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-equipped—perfect for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle. A major highlight of our stay was WOODS Kitchen & Bar. The all-day dining offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a great vibe. However, what truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service. A huge shoutout to Jib, Plai, Ter, and the lovely Hostess (sorry I missed your name!) for their warm and professional hospitality. They really went above and beyond. While the rates are on the higher side, the stunning location, top-notch facilities, and especially the heartwarming service from the WOODS team made every penny worth it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a premium relaxation experience!
My husband and I spent 9 nights at this wonderful hotel, which is truly a hidden gem of Cha-Am. We stayed in a Sky Beach Front room that featured a huge bathtub with an sea view. Cleanliness was clearly a top priority, there was housekeeping at least twice a day, and we received complimentary drinks and snacks every day. One thing that could be improved is the pool temperature. This is a naturally windy beachfront, so it would be better if the pool were a bit warmer. Because of this, we often couldn’t really enjoy swimming, even in 29°C (84°F) weather. Also, the fruit selection at breakfast was a bit repetitive—every day it was the same: pineapple, watermelon, papaya, and dragon fruit. It would have been nice to have mango or passion fruit occasionally. That said, we highly recommend Vala Hua Hin. Everything here is beautiful, not to mention the spa services, I had the best facial of my life here. Thanks to the whole team!
