Karina Resort Chiang Mai
Compare prices
Karina Resort Chiang Mai sits in the San Kamphaeng District, east of the city centre, offering travellers a quiet escape from the bustle of urban Chiang Mai. The resort occupies a relaxed, garden-style setting with spacious rooms and self-contained houses, making it a solid choice for those who prefer a more private, low-key atmosphere over a city-centre hotel. The surrounding greenery and backyard views add to the sense of seclusion. Guests can expect clean, well-maintained accommodation with daily housekeeping, on-site parking, and breakfast available on the premises. Rooms are noted for their generous size, and the overall environment leans toward calm and comfort rather than resort-style activity. One guest highlighted attentive front desk service, with staff following up after checkout to notify a visitor of forgotten belongings — a small but telling sign of the level of care on offer. The air conditioning in some rooms has been flagged as occasionally inconsistent, so guests sensitive to heat may want to request a cooler unit at check-in. Practically speaking, the resort's location in Ton Pao means having personal transport or being comfortable with rideshare apps is advisable, as it sits beyond easy walking distance of central Chiang Mai attractions. This works in its favour for travellers seeking a restful base rather than a nightlife-adjacent stay. Booking directly through the resort's own platform is available, and given the small scale of the property, securing a reservation in advance during peak season — roughly November through February — is recommended.

Visitor Reviews
Super hotel. The rooms are spacious, there's parking, it's clean, and they clean it every day. On March 4, 2026, when I left for the airport, the receptionist called and said I'd forgotten some things. The girl was very kind and spoke good English. The only thing I noticed missing was the kitchen, but there weren't a single plate or cutlery, and there was no trash can in the kitchen. Perhaps the hotel is still new. There were only three teapots and two glasses. I'd like to ask the management to buy a couple of plates, forks, a deep salad bowl, spoons, and a fruit knife for the house. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.
Perfect getaway from the city. Tranquil environment. Clean rooms and spacious houses with a nice view of the back yard. Space for parking and also a place for breakfast. Would recommend your friends or family to stay there if they are visiting.
Always love staying here
