Coral Cove Beach
Coral Cove Beach is a compact, sheltered bay on Koh Samui's eastern coastline, drawing visitors who prefer a calmer alternative to the island's busier beaches. The cove's rocky formations and clear waters make it a natural choice for snorkelling, and the setting has drawn comparisons to more remote tropical destinations for its unspoiled character. Coconut trees provide natural shade along the shoreline, and the white sand beach maintains a relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere, particularly on weekday mornings. On-site facilities mean visitors can arrive without much preparation — sun loungers, towels, snorkel equipment, and kayaks are available to hire, and food and drinks can be found nearby. The beach attracts a predominantly international crowd and tends to fill up from around 10:00 AM onward, so arriving earlier rewards those seeking a quieter experience. The calm, sheltered waters are well-suited to swimmers of most abilities. Good to know: Like many beaches along Koh Samui's northern and eastern shores, Coral Cove can occasionally be affected by ocean debris, particularly after storms or periods of strong currents. Conditions vary, so it is worth checking recent visitor reports before visiting. The beach is open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and water shoes are a practical addition given the rocky areas around the cove's edges.

Visitor Reviews
Loved this beach, quieter than lots of other we visited which was good - Everything you need here from towels, snorkels to burgers and kayaks. Beautiful white salty sand and extremely clean waters. Banana lasso was delicious drinking after a swim and a paddle. Drinks sensible pricyand Kayaks around 300bht per hour, or £6/£7 Uk sterling or €8 ish..
Coral Beach is absolutely stunning, with an exotic vibe that made me feel a bit like I was in the Seychelles. The beach is small but beautiful, with natural shade from coconut trees. There are nearby bars where you can enjoy a cold beer, perfect for relaxing. When we visited, there were waves, but it was still possible to swim. A great spot for a tropical escape
Coral Cove Beach Review Coral Cove Beach is a quiet and relatively uncrowded beach, ideal for visitors seeking a peaceful atmosphere. Most visitors—primarily foreigners—tend to arrive around 10:00 AM and leave by approximately 4:00 PM, making the beach especially calm outside these hours. The sand has a crystal-like texture and is not soft. Walking barefoot can be slightly uncomfortable, especially when compared to beaches such as Chaweng Beach or Silver Sand Beach. This makes it less suitable for long walks but still acceptable for sitting and relaxing. Coral Cove Beach is well suited for visitors who prefer a quiet place to relax or sunbathe during the afternoon rather than engage in active beach activities. Coral Cove Resort is located nearby and offers decent accommodation; however, the owner may come across as not particularly friendly. Recommendation: Best for travelers looking for a peaceful, low-traffic beach primarily for relaxation and sunbathing.

Check Monsoon Seasons
The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) has rough seas from May to October. The Gulf coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) is roughest from October to December. Plan your island-hopping around these windows.
Snorkel Gear Is Cheap to Buy
Rental gear is often scratched and ill-fitting. Buy a decent mask and snorkel at a Tesco Lotus or Big C for 300–500 THB — cheaper than two days of rentals and much more hygienic.
Book Ferries on 12Go.Asia
The 12Go platform lets you compare ferry operators, times, and prices between islands. Book a day or two ahead in high season. Avoid the cheapest operators if reviews mention safety concerns.
