Naithon beach wooden bridge
This wooden bridge and staircase at Naithon Beach serves as both a practical access point and a popular photography spot on one of northern Phuket's most peaceful stretches of coastline. Located in the Thalang district, it connects the road to the beach and passes through natural surroundings that make for an appealing introduction to the area. The beach itself is known for clean sand, clear water, and a noticeably relaxed atmosphere compared to Phuket's busier southern beaches. Visitors can expect a quiet, uncrowded setting with natural tree shade along the shoreline, a handful of swings and rock formations near the bridge, and plenty of opportunities for photography and short walks. The wooden structure blends into the coastal environment and has become a popular spot for photos and short video content. Street food vendors are reportedly nearby, adding a practical convenience for those spending time at the beach. Good to know: The bridge and staircase are free to visit and require no booking, but the structure is not always well maintained, so visitors should take care on the steps, particularly after rain. There are no listed opening hours, suggesting access throughout the day, though early morning visits are well-suited for photography in good light. The dry season, running from November to April, offers the most reliable weather and calmest sea conditions.

Visitor Reviews
We tried a few beaches in the area, and this was our favorite. The water and sand are clean, and it's not as crowded as banana beach. Although there aren't as many shadow spots, there's still some shadow by the trees. It's a beautiful place, so be prepared to have some photoshoots during golden hour and sunset. There's a small vendor with fruit and coconuts. You can also do some snorkeling by the rocks :)
Amazing beach! One of the best beaches in Phuket. Beautiful water color. Clean fine sand. There are some shadow places, where you can hide from the sun. Not crowded. Nice wooden staircase with a good view for photos. Also, there is a small beach bar.
Perfect for photos and reels! Nai Thon Wooden Beach connects the road and Nai Thon Beach. Nai Thon Beach is peaceful and picture perfect! There's some natural shade under the trees. Plenty of street food vendors for hungry beachgoers 😋
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
