OneSiam Skywalk

4.6(1,544 reviews)

Spanning the intersection of Phaya Thai Road in the heart of Pathum Wan, this modern elevated walkway connects three of Bangkok's most prominent shopping destinations — Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery — while offering sweeping panoramic views across the Siam district. The structure serves as both a practical transit link and a genuine city landmark, with the Bangkok skyline visible in all directions from its vantage point above one of the city's busiest commercial intersections. Visitors can expect a clean, spacious walkway with easy access via both stairs and elevators. The atmosphere reflects the energy of the surrounding area, with street musicians frequently performing along the route and a steady flow of locals and tourists alike. The walkway is particularly popular for photography, offering an elevated perspective of the cityscape and clear sightlines toward the Siam district's distinctive urban character. Sunset draws notable crowds, when the light across the skyline is at its most photogenic. Good to know: The skywalk is accessible from multiple entry points connected to the surrounding malls and the nearby BTS Skytrain network, making it easy to incorporate into a broader day of exploring central Bangkok. Mid-afternoon tends to be quieter for those who prefer more space, while evenings bring a livelier atmosphere. As it functions as an active pedestrian thoroughfare, visitors should expect steady foot traffic during peak hours, particularly on weekends.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
