Mahanakhon sculpture park
Situated at the base and upper levels of the iconic King Power Mahanakhon Tower in Bangkok's Silom district, this tourist attraction combines outdoor sculptural art with one of the city's most dramatic elevated viewpoints. The tower itself is instantly recognisable for its distinctive pixelated, fractured facade, and the contrast between the building's angular architecture and the flowing forms of surrounding sculptures — including a notable Erawan statue at street level — makes for compelling photography. The experience is best known for its sky-level observation deck, where visitors can take in panoramic views across Bangkok, including glass floor sections that offer a direct look straight down. Sunset is a particularly popular time to visit, drawing crowds who come to watch the city transition from daylight to its illuminated evening skyline. The glass floor areas are a standout feature, though visitors with vertigo should be aware of their nature before heading up. A few practical points worth knowing: some visitors have noted that not all staff speak English, which can be a friction point for international tourists, so patience and preparation are helpful. Crowd levels can be significant, especially during sunset hours. Reduced pricing is available for older visitors, which is worth enquiring about at the entrance. Given that at least one reviewer has noted the "sculpture park" element is limited in scope — centred primarily on the Erawan statue outside — visitors should approach this primarily as a sky observation experience rather than a traditional sculpture garden.

Visitor Reviews
Mahanakhon Sculpture Park is one of the most refreshing and visually captivating attractions in Bangkok. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the iconic King Power Mahanakhon Tower, the park brings together modern art, urban greenery, and creative expression in a way that feels both relaxing and inspiring. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with bold sculptures, unique installations, and contemporary pieces that instantly catch your attention and make you want to explore every corner. What makes this place truly special is the balance it maintains between art and atmosphere. The sculptures are not just placed randomly; they are thoughtfully positioned to complement the natural surroundings, the skyline, and even the pathways. Whether you're someone who enjoys photography, art appreciation, or simply a peaceful outdoor walk, the park delivers a meaningful experience. The space is clean, well-maintained, and designed with a modern urban aesthetic. Every installation has a story, and even without reading the descriptions, the visual impact is powerful. It’s a great spot for travelers who want to see a different side of Bangkok beyond the usual markets and temples. Overall, Mahanakhon Sculpture Park is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys creativity, culture, and a calm escape right in the middle of the city. It’s a place where art feels alive, accessible, and beautifully woven into the energy of Bangkok.
One of the best experiences in Bangkok was the sunset from this building. There are many people at this time to see the view and the sunset, but we are personally fine with that and others will complain. It is an experience we would definitely recommend.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
