MonPanaNont Resort & Spa
Nestled in the lush countryside north of Chiang Mai in the Mae Taeng district, MonPanaNont Resort & Spa offers a peaceful escape from the city with beautiful natural scenery as its backdrop. The property functions as both a hotel and wellness retreat, drawing visitors who want to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a genuinely restorative stay. The surrounding landscape provides easy access to the rich natural attractions of the broader Chiang Mai region for those who wish to explore. Guests consistently highlight the resort's tranquil atmosphere, attentive staff, and strong food offering — with everything from pasta to tasting menus earning praise. Families travelling with young children have noted the warmth and care shown by management and staff alike, while couples are drawn by the romantic setting and serene surroundings. The level of service appears to be a defining feature of the experience, with the general manager personally noted for professionalism and hospitality. Good to know: The resort is best suited to travellers with their own vehicle or private transport, as its rural location makes independent exploration of the surrounding nature much easier. Given its small scale and the attentive, personalised service guests describe, booking in advance is advisable, particularly during Chiang Mai's peak cool season from November through February when the northern highlands are at their most pleasant.

Visitor Reviews
We had an incredible time even though it was short, due to some influenza issues I received coming to Thailand. The general manager manager and all the staff are over the top professional. This property is a very special property. They cater to every need and desire that you have. They're so attentive and caring. When we left, they called us family, and said that they would credit the two days that we could not stay. The rooms the property so very clean and tidy, the food so organic and locally grown. You definitely have to take time if you're in the Chiang Mai area to book with this property. Hopefully see you next year, and thank you for everything. Sincerely, Jutarat and Brian

Highly recommended!
A beautiful retreat just north of Chiang Mai. If you want to escape the world for a few days and rest and recharge this is the perfect place. A great place with a car to explore the wonderful nature of the nearby areas too. The grounds are lovely to walk around, a wonderful pool for swimming and relaxing and a temple for some introspection. Ted, Sun-Day and the whole team really care. Lovely little touches and great breakfast every morning. We left knowing we would return again. Khop Khun Ka
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
