BHAWA SPA on the eight
Tucked along Sukhumvit Soi 8 in central Bangkok, this spa occupies a beautiful traditional villa that sets it apart from the city's more generic wellness options. The two-storey space is built around a serene courtyard with a fountain, connected by a wooden staircase, creating an atmosphere of calm that feels genuinely removed from the busy street outside. The setting alone draws repeat visitors, some returning after gaps of several years. Treatments focus on therapeutic massage, with the hot stone massage frequently praised by guests. Complimentary drinks and desserts are included in the experience, and quality wellness products are available for purchase on-site. Staff are consistently noted for their attentiveness and professionalism, with the level of care described as extending to every detail from arrival onwards. The spa is bookable through platforms such as Gowabi, making it accessible for visitors planning their stay in advance. Good to know: Specific opening hours and pricing are not listed online, so contacting the venue directly before visiting is advisable. The Soi 8 location is well-positioned for travellers staying in the Sukhumvit area, though Bangkok traffic can add time to journeys from other districts. Booking ahead is recommended, particularly during peak tourist periods, to secure a preferred treatment time.

Visitor Reviews
The spa is thoughtfully designed across two elegant stories, centered around a serene courtyard adorned with a graceful fountain 🌿⛲. The wooden staircase leading to the upper level adds a distinctive architectural character—its occasional creaks may feel distracting to some, yet to others, they enhance the building’s rustic charm and authenticity 🪵✨. Each treatment room is generously proportioned, offering both a shower and a bathtub for complete comfort and convenience 🛁🚿. Notably, the toilet facilities are located outside the treatment rooms, maintaining a clean and tranquil therapy environment. Prices typically range between US$100–200, depending on the selected treatment and duration, reflecting the quality of service and the relaxing ambiance provided 💆♀️💎.
I’m a Korean tourist who comes to Bangkok 4–5 times a year mainly for golf. A local friend who knows Bangkok better than I do booked Bhawa on the 8 through Gowabi. We left CentralWorld with plenty of time, but due to a sudden heavy rain, the taxi ride ended up taking two hours. Even though the spa closes at 9 p.m., the staff kindly waited for us until 9:20 and extended their working hours to give us the massage. The massage itself was truly satisfying, and even when we had trouble calling a Grab afterward, the staff postponed their own departure to help us. I was deeply touched — truly heartwarming service!
This is a great place in a beautiful villa. The staff is highly knowledgeable and from the very moment you step into the place the service is amazing: in every details. The lady who did the treatment was absolutely fantastic, she knows her job very well and has very good skills, she also had an amazing energy. When I left the place after my treatment I felt such a calm energy like they removed all the pressure and the stress my body was having. It's already 2 days and I still feel calm and relax.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
