Visitor Reviews
It’s awesome that you appreciate the airport rail link in Thailand! It really is one of the most convenient ways to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport. It’s fast, affordable, and connects the heart of the city with the airport so smoothly. Suvarnabhumi is definitely one of the best airports around too – modern, spacious, and with all kinds of amenities. Do you travel through it often, or is it more of a special trip for you? Yes I travel very frequently
A very large but convenient airport. We were sent to the new terminal by high-speed train. It is clean, convenient and has a huge number of shops and restaurants.
This is a convenient way to go around Bangkok especially when you’re a tourist and came from the airport. They have clean platforms and easy access to information as staff are there to guide you. They may not speak English but they can understand you as you express. It’s also a convenient transport if you want to shop affordable clothes and you just have to go to Ratchaprarop station to reach to Pratu Nam market. It’s where retail items are widespread.
Tips for Visiting Transportation
Take the Sleeper Train at Least Once
The Bangkok-to-Chiang Mai overnight train in a second-class sleeper berth is a bucket-list experience. Book at least a week ahead via 12Go.asia or at Hua Lamphong station. Upper berths are cheaper and have more headroom; lower berths have a window.
Use Grab Everywhere
Grab is the Uber of Southeast Asia and works across Thailand for cars, motorbike taxis, and even tuk-tuks in some cities. It eliminates haggling and provides fare estimates upfront. Load a Thai SIM or use eSIM to stay connected.
Rent Scooters Carefully
Always photograph the scooter's existing damage before riding off, and keep your passport — give a photocopy instead (some shops insist on the original; avoid these). Wear a helmet; police fine 500 THB for no helmet and accidents without one void insurance.
