The best temple I’ve visited in recent years! Probably one of the most beautiful on Phuket. The Luk Nimit ceremony was especially magical! The energy of this place is incredible very bright, pure, and uplifting. All the haters leaving their dull reviews especially some Russian-speaking ones, who are nowhere near understanding Asian culture are simply people hurt by life, which is why they have such inflated egos. That’s why I recommend trusting your own feelings rather than comments from guys like MAX BVP, who try to boost their self-esteem by putting others down.
Wat Kanan is truly a hidden gem. It’s not crowded with tourists yet, which makes the experience feel very peaceful and authentic. The temple is incredibly beautiful, with stunning details. If you’re looking for a quieter, more special place away from the busy tourist spots, this is definitely worth visiting.
Stunning! Book more time for the visit and get a photoshoot in traditional Thai costumes. You can rent them from shops near the temple. We used photo services as well and it was the best $40 spent for costumes and photo shoot all together
