Royal Paradise Night Market

4.1(1,148 reviews)

Situated on Rat Uthit Song Roi Pi Road in the heart of Patong, this night market complex sits just a short walk from the beach and surrounding restaurants, making it a convenient stop for evening browsing. Vendors sell a mix of souvenirs, clothing, and goods, and bargaining is part of the culture here — locals are generally friendly and prices are negotiable, so shopping around before committing to a purchase is worthwhile. Visitors should go in with realistic expectations. Recent reviews suggest the market has quietened compared to busier periods, with some stalls closed and fewer food vendors than a traditional Thai night market might offer. That said, the area still draws a steady crowd, and its side-street setting gives it a more low-key feel than Patong's busier commercial strips. For those staying nearby, it remains a reasonable option for a casual wander, a bite to eat, or picking up a few souvenirs without venturing far. Good to know: Operating hours are not publicly listed, and activity levels can vary significantly depending on the season and time of week. It is worth checking with your accommodation before making a special trip, particularly if a lively market atmosphere is what you are after. The location is easily walkable from most Patong accommodation.

Visitor Reviews

23rd floor has a very nice overview of the patong city. and very close to the mall, walk street to the beach.

This is a neat little area off the main road. There are plenty of shops around, but it can look kind of sketchy at some points. Although there are always people around and you basically have nothing to worry about, it just may seem that way. Lots of tiny store fronts, and a bunch of bars for the night life, it's easy to keep walking down each corridor to find something new.

Great spot for food, drinks and souvenir shopping while in Patong. The locals are friendly and will barter on prices and make sure to shop around to get the best prices.

Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture

Dress Modestly

Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.

Mind Your Feet

Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.

Ask Before Photographing

Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
