Royal Palace Restaurant & Tours
Sitting on Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road in the heart of Patong, this mid-range establishment operates as both a multi-cuisine restaurant and a cultural tour operator, offering visitors a convenient way to combine dining and sightseeing in one stop. The menu draws most notably from Indian and Thai cuisines, with dishes like chicken masala and garlic naan receiving particular praise from reviewers for their flavour and authenticity. The dining experience is informal and accessible, with staff described by many visitors as courteous and attentive, and food reported to arrive promptly. That said, reviews are noticeably mixed — some visitors have had genuinely positive experiences, while others have raised concerns about food quality and service standards. Prospective guests would do well to read recent reviews before committing, as experiences appear to vary considerably. Good to know: Opening hours are not publicly listed, so contacting the restaurant directly before visiting is strongly recommended to confirm availability, particularly if combining a meal with a temple tour booking. For any temple excursions arranged through the venue, visitors should dress respectfully — covered shoulders and knees are required at sacred sites throughout Thailand. The location in busy Patong means it is easily reached on foot from most beachside accommodation in the area.

Visitor Reviews
Don't be fooled by the looks on the outside! The food is delicious! We were skeptical because of how we were approached When walking by, the look of the place on the outside (perhaps a bit shady), And the fact that there's like a hundred items on the menu. But we read some reviews and decided to try it anyway. Glad we did! The service was fantastic! We sat outside to smoke while we waited for the food and spoke to the waiter -they were super nice. We ordered the fish cakes which were a bit spicy and flavorful. A great starter followed by the papaya salad that was refreshing and absolutely delicious! I couldn't get enough of it! Just as we were finishing up the fried red curry fish and BBQ mussels came out. The timing was great with the food. Just right. Nice and hot. The fish was probably one of the best things we've had on this trip🤷♀️. Just saying. Crispy skin and tender on the inside with delicious flavors. Mussels were also good but nothing compared to how great that fish was. Highly recommend! The fish was also fresh and picked from the front. Mango sticky rice was also phenomenal! The rice was juicy and sticky, with a coconut taste. Mango was overly ripe and sweet. So juicy. It was so damn good. This place is open 24/7 and offers free, fast WiFi. Located in front of family Mart. See video.
Food: Good - Chicken Masala was flavorful and clean. Garlic nan was also solid. Service: Great - Everyone was very courteous and genuinely appreciated your business. Food came out within 10 minutes. Overall: Recommend - Not the most glamorous but based on the price and quality, it’s a good deal. Indian and Thai.
Best Indian Chef Hayat Singh, you can have pure Indian taste with his hands, spicy indian gravy & every customised dish... enjoyed most tasty food in Phuket here. Thanks to him 🙂 💯/💯
Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
