Mr.Zen Art Studio
Nestled along Thanon Dibuk in the heart of Phuket Old Town, Mr. Zen Art Studio is an independent contemporary art gallery showcasing the distinctive works of a local artist. The studio stands out for its personal, passionate approach to art-making, with pieces that visitors frequently describe as unique and deeply resonant. It operates as both a creative workspace and a gallery, giving the space an authentic, lived-in character that sets it apart from more commercial venues. Inside, visitors can browse a thoughtfully curated collection of original artworks in a bright, open environment. The atmosphere is welcoming and unhurried, with attentive staff on hand to share context about the work. Affordable souvenirs such as postcards and small prints are available for those who want to take something home without committing to a larger piece, making it accessible for travellers on any budget. Entry is free of charge, and street parking is available on the side road nearby, making it an easy addition to a walking tour of Phuket Old Town. As opening hours are not publicly listed, it is worth stopping by during standard daytime hours or checking in with local accommodation for the latest schedule. The gallery is well suited to travellers who enjoy independent art scenes and are looking for something more intimate than the typical tourist attraction.

Visitor Reviews
A very lovely place! We stumbled upon this gallery while walking through the old town. It’s a beautiful, bright space with contemporary art and a very friendly staff member. We bought a small poster as a souvenir. Highly recommend stopping by.
I would love to have the opportunity to work with such an artist in some way. Great works, uniq approach and passion. Will gladly visit again. Thank you Mr. Zen
Worth the unconventional visit at Old Town Phuket! My husband and I really resonated with many of the art pieces and we even bought a post card as a souvenir!
Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
