Hotel
Located on Pattana Road in the Mueang district of Phuket Town, this hotel operates as a mid-range lodging option within the Old Town area. Rooms are noted for being spacious by local standards, and the property features a rooftop pool with views over the surrounding neighbourhood. A complimentary breakfast is included with stays, which guests have found to be a welcome addition. The experience here is mixed, and prospective guests should set expectations accordingly. Cleanliness standards appear inconsistent across rooms, and noise is a recurring concern — thin walls, shared corridors, and the sound of doors closing late at night have disrupted sleep for multiple guests. The hotel has an apartment-like feel rather than a polished hotel atmosphere, and its location in a quieter residential pocket means it sits at some distance from Phuket Town's main attractions, restaurants, and night markets. Good to know: This property suits travellers who prioritise budget and don't mind a quieter, less central base, but it may not suit light sleepers or those expecting full hotel services such as luggage assistance. Guests with their own transport or a willingness to use taxis will find the location more manageable. Checking recent reviews before booking is advisable, as experiences appear to vary noticeably between stays.

Visitor Reviews
The hotel delivers on cleanliness, as the room was spotless upon arrival. However, the noise at night was quite disturbing due to other guests and the way the doors open and close, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Breakfast had a decent variety, though it wasn’t exactly to my taste, still, plenty of choices for different preferences. The gym is impressive, well-equipped and a definite highlight. The pool is nice too, though it has a strict no food and drink policy, which might be a downside for some. The location is a plus, being close to the park, which is great for walks or some fresh air. Overall, a good stay if you’re not too sensitive to noise at night. Follow me @roxana.iamandi.👌🏻
Stayed here for 4 nights but had to move somewherr else because of noise. We could hear the neighbours talking and everyone was smashing the doors late in the night. Bed is very hard but the view is amazing. The gym is well-equipped & have a nice pool at the top of the building facing the city. Have to pay 300baht deposit in cash which I received in the end. There was an issue with issuing an invoice for my company, but a reciept with my name worked as well. Free breakfast was ok. You MUST try the chicken shawarma from Kebab Stetion next to the hotel. It is a gift from God. For more travel tips, follow @costinbotez
I recently stayed at The Royal P Phuket Hotel in Old Town Phuket, and I must say, it has a lot of charm! This older hotel has wonderful large, clean rooms and boasts a stunning rooftop pool that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views. While my experience had many positive aspects, I did encounter a frustrating situation regarding my passports. Unfortunately, I forgot to retrieve them upon check-in. I fully acknowledge that this oversight was my responsibility, but I wish the hotel had made an effort to return them or remind me before our departure. It wasn't until we were about to leave for the airport that we realized they were missing. When I returned to the reception, I was relieved to find that the hotel still had my passports; however, the lack of communication regarding such an important item left me feeling that there was room for improvement in their guest services.
Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
