HuaHin Kitchen
Situated on Hua Hin's main Phet Kasem Road, this casual Thai restaurant has earned a loyal following among both long-term visitors and locals who return repeatedly throughout their stay. Standout dishes include the raw shrimp — praised for its exceptional freshness and size — alongside chicken satay and green chicken curry, which regulars cite as a favourite. The kitchen takes a straightforward approach to Thai cooking, with the emphasis placed firmly on quality ingredients and consistent execution rather than elaborate presentation. The setting is unpretentious and relaxed, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Service is noted for being attentive and efficient, and the pricing sits comfortably in the mid-range, making it a practical choice for travellers who want well-prepared Thai food without paying a premium. It draws a mixed crowd of tourists and neighbourhood diners, which is generally a reliable indicator of genuine local quality. Good to know: HuaHin Kitchen opens daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, covering both lunch and dinner seven days a week. No website is listed, so walk-ins appear to be the standard approach — arriving slightly outside peak meal times, such as late morning or early afternoon, may mean a quieter experience. The Phet Kasem Road location makes it straightforward to reach from most parts of central Hua Hin.

Visitor Reviews
This is probably one of the very best restaurants I have had the luck of finding throughout Thailand. I know that sounds exaggerated, but we are staying in La Casita condo next door and have rated here at least 3 times a week. Food is amazing. We have tried many many dishes and each one is flavourful and great portions too. Most dishes, soups and noodle dishes are very cheap price too. Staff is really friendly and always stop to chat. All in all an absolutely excellent restaurant. I love it!
We had lunch here, not much people at noon. I really love the raw shrimp, the shrimps are big and so fresh, highly recommend this dish. Also, the price is reasonable ^^ I will surely come back to this restaurant if I come to Huahin again.
We’ve eaten here several times now and all of the dishes we’ve had have been good. Great prices and fast service. Our favorite is the green chicken curry. You can sit outside or inside and they always have a game on the big screen.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
