Planet Earth Bar & Restaurant
Tucked into a quiet street in Tambon Hua Ro, Planet Earth Bar & Restaurant serves as a reliable evening wind-down spot for travellers exploring Ayutthaya's ancient temples and ruins. Open every night from 6 PM until 2 AM, it fills a genuine gap in a city where late-night options are limited, offering a casual place to eat and drink without much fuss. The menu leans toward fried and deep-fried dishes alongside Thai staples like chicken rice, with Western options including steak and garlic bread also available. Visitors have called out the steak in particular as a highlight. The drinks list covers beers and cocktails at prices described by regulars as very fair for the area. The atmosphere is consistently described as cosy and relaxed rather than loud or high-energy, which suits the neighbourhood setting. Staff receive frequent mentions for being friendly and welcoming, and an unusual bonus is a small plant shop tucked at the back of the venue. Good to know: Service timing on food orders has drawn some criticism, with dishes occasionally arriving at very different intervals, so this is worth keeping in mind if you're ordering a full meal rather than just drinks. The venue is mid-range in price and open all seven days of the week, making it an easy fallback on any evening. Casual dress is entirely appropriate, and the relaxed pace makes it a better fit for a slow evening than a big night out.

Visitor Reviews
Nice atmosphere, friendly people and many drinks to choose from. The steak is cooked perfectly and would recommend everyone to try it. The owner is nice and friendly. Chilled and relaxed atmosphere and nice music. Must visit when you are in Auyhttaya
Nice little bar with a cosy and relaxed vibe. Very fair prices on beverages. Also they have a small shop in the back where they have a good variety of plants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to visit this place
We went to this restaurant to have a drink and diner. We ordered a variety of food including chicken rice and crab, some typical thai food. They have alot of fried and deep fried food on the menu. The food was of good quality and tasted better than average. We were even allowed to play some free matches of pool. They pay attention to there customers. On the inside its a bit outdated but thats not really a problem for most people I guess.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
