Maithy Pool Lounge & Restaurant
Perched in the Bo Put area of Koh Samui, Maithy Pool Lounge and Restaurant draws visitors with a combination of scenic views, quality food, and a genuinely relaxed atmosphere. The setting overlooks both a temple and the nearby pier, making it a popular spot for sunset dining, and the venue occasionally features live saxophone performances that add to the ambient experience. It sits a fair walk from the main road, which contributes to its quieter, more secluded feel compared to busier parts of the island. The menu leans towards quality over quantity, with dishes such as sea bass, rock lobster tail, and oysters earning particular praise from visitors. Cocktails are a highlight, described as carefully crafted, and the overall pricing is considered reasonable given the quality and setting. The venue functions simultaneously as a bar, restaurant, and pool lounge, making it a practical choice for those wanting to spend several relaxed hours in one place rather than moving between venues. Good to know: the walk to reach Maithy can catch some visitors off guard, so comfortable footwear is recommended if arriving on foot. The venue is open every day from 11:00 to 23:00, with no variation across the week, so timing is flexible. Arriving earlier in the evening to catch the sunset views and secure a good table is worth considering, particularly on weekends or during peak season.

Visitor Reviews
Wow, since I arrived at the restaurant because the restaurant has a very beautiful view. You can see the temple view and the view of the pier. It is very suitable for taking a photo to keep the atmosphere, especially at sunset. It is very beautiful sunset 🌄 As for the food, the foods are very delicious. The plate is beautiful. There are both Thai and international food And the price of food is not expensive either. And in the evening, there will be music to listen. You can sit and watch the atmosphere at night while eating For the road is quite steep. Be careful when driving. And the restaurant has a parking. I recommend this shop and I will definitely come back again
Sure — here’s a polished review in English you can use or adapt: ⸻ I had an amazing dining experience at Maithy on Koh Samui. From the oysters all the way to dessert, every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared — truly worth recommending. The cocktails were perfectly mixed, and the view added something really special to the evening. The service was outstanding as well, especially thanks to Mimi, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. I would happily come back and highly recommend this place!
An amazing place that's well worth the effort to get there. The cocktails are really well made, food is high quality (a little smaller in portions)but reasonably priced and the setting is just magical. (book a table for a good spot). what sets this place apart is the very relaxed service. Sandi our host was always so attentive and just made our night so very special. Will definitely be back!

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
