Long Beach Koh Phi Phi
Long Beach sits on the quieter side of Koh Phi Phi, offering turquoise water, soft sand, and the dramatic limestone scenery the island is known for. Compared to the busier Ton Sai area, it attracts visitors looking for a more relaxed setting, making it a reasonable choice for swimming and snorkelling away from the main crowds. The beach stretches across a long strip of shoreline backed by lush vegetation, with the clear, calm water drawing the most praise from those who make the trip. Getting here requires a small effort. Visitors can either take a longtail boat from the main Phi Phi pier for around 100 baht per person, or walk approximately 20 to 25 minutes from Ton Sai — a route that feels longer than it appears on a map, particularly in the heat. Once there, facilities are basic, and the volume of longtail boats operating close to shore can interrupt the atmosphere in busier sections, so it is worth walking further along the beach to find calmer spots. Good to know: Water levels are noticeably lower in the afternoon due to tidal changes, which affects swimming conditions, so a morning visit is generally preferable. The dry season from November to April brings the clearest water and calmest seas. Reef-safe sunscreen is recommended, and water shoes may be useful in rockier areas along the shoreline.

Visitor Reviews
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Phi Phi is absolutely stunning – the whole area is just incredible. Beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water and an amazing island atmosphere. The viewpoint is a must-do: the view over the island and the bays is breathtaking and totally worth it. From the beach to the viewpoints, everything feels special and unique. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited – highly recommended!
Beautiful beach to take a bath with the turquoise water! Just to note that in the afternoon the level of the water is lower! You have to walk around 20 minutes from Ton Sai to get here but it is a really nice walk that it’s worth it! You have a few restaurants and bars to get something over there!
Long beach is beautiful clear water beach. It is worth visiting. You can either take a 100 bhat (day time) long tail boat to the beach or can walk for 20-25 min to reach there. The beach is open for all but it has only one beautiful restaurant belongs to the resort. You can enjoy the beach from the restaurant, it is open for all. I didn’t give it a 5 star because of a limited food option and the beach has limited space. During peak time it may feel over crowded.

Check Monsoon Seasons
The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) has rough seas from May to October. The Gulf coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) is roughest from October to December. Plan your island-hopping around these windows.
Snorkel Gear Is Cheap to Buy
Rental gear is often scratched and ill-fitting. Buy a decent mask and snorkel at a Tesco Lotus or Big C for 300–500 THB — cheaper than two days of rentals and much more hygienic.
Book Ferries on 12Go.Asia
The 12Go platform lets you compare ferry operators, times, and prices between islands. Book a day or two ahead in high season. Avoid the cheapest operators if reviews mention safety concerns.
