Pattaya Elephant Village
Set in the Muang Pattaya area of Chon Buri province, Pattaya Elephant Village is a long-established cultural attraction that draws both international tourists and Thai families seeking a broad taste of Thai heritage in one setting. The venue combines elephant feeding and rides with Thai dance shows, silk-weaving demonstrations, and ox-cart rides, making it a varied outing rather than a single-focus experience. Entry is free for Thai citizens, and tickets for international visitors include complimentary drinks, adding reasonable value to the overall visit. Visitors can expect a lively, entertainment-oriented atmosphere with performances described by guests as well-produced and engaging. The elephant programme is a central draw, and some visitors have noted that the elephants are fed according to their appetite rather than on demand, which several guests have taken as a positive sign of animal care. However, prospective visitors should be aware that other animals — including snakes, meerkats, and small mammals — are also used in shows and photo opportunities on site, something that has drawn criticism from other guests. Those with concerns about animal welfare practices are encouraged to review recent visitor feedback carefully before booking. The attraction is open seven days a week from 10:00 to 17:00, making it accessible across any day of a Pattaya itinerary. Visiting earlier in the day is advisable to allow time for both the performances and the elephant experience without feeling rushed before closing time.

Visitor Reviews
Show was amazing and very well done by all the performers. If you want a picture after the show with a performer, they cost 100 baht each. Which is quite reasonable as entry is free for Thai citizens as long as they buy a drink from the cafe for 120 baht. Foreigners pay 400 baht entry fee which includes a free drink. Elephant rides are also an extra charge.
Totally worth the trip. Feeding the elephant and take the ride. Having the free drinks come with ticket and the mini Tiffany show. The whole family enjoys it to the max. It is a must go place in Pattaya. We bought entrance ticket online and add on d rest when we were there
We really enjoyed this place. Feels like any bad review would probably be from people who didn’t go that are just on here saying don’t ride elephants. But we had a blast not just with the elephants but the other animals and watching their shows.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
