Jomtien Heads Viewpoint
Sitting at the far end of Jomtien Beach Road where the path meets the headland, this public viewpoint offers a wide, open outlook across the coastline and bay. The elevated position delivers roughly 180 degrees of sea views, making it a natural stopping point for those on morning walks, keen photographers, or anyone looking to escape the busier stretches of beach nearby. The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried, with visitors typically fishing off the rocks, watching the sunrise, or simply taking in the breeze. The site functions as a public space with no entrance fee and no tickets required. Seating areas are available nearby, and the headland draws a steady but manageable crowd, particularly in the early morning hours. A 7-Eleven is located close by, making it easy to pick up drinks or snacks before settling in. The surrounding area also has Thai food options within a short distance. Good to know: Early morning is the most popular time to visit, with sunrise being a highlight for regular walkers and photographers alike. The location is accessible on foot from Jomtien Beach Road, though the final stretch requires heading slightly inland before reaching the point. There are no stated opening hours, and no shade structures are available, so sun protection is worth bringing for daytime visits.

Visitor Reviews
A lovely little beach with public access. There are seating areas on one side with plenty of chairs. Unsure whether you must pay to use. The tide was low so there were little pools where people were digging for clams. A few others were fishing. A nice way to spend the afternoon
This is a great place to watch the sunset. There is a wide 180° view. Some people fishing here. I think it's a good place for fishing. There is a 7-eleven nearby. You can buy something from there and drink while watching the sunset.
Beautiful view. Always clean. Great Thai food nearby. Perfect place to relax and fish and do morning exercises.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
