Bang Lamung Park
Spread across the slopes and peaks of Pratamnak Hill, Bang Lamung Park offers a welcome patch of greenery within the Pattaya area. The park features a network of walking paths, staircases, and ramps that wind through landscaped grounds, making it a popular spot for morning joggers, walkers, and locals going about their daily exercise routines. Several viewpoints with benches provide a place to sit and take in the surrounding scenery. The park is well-equipped with playgrounds, outdoor exercise equipment, and restroom facilities, giving it a practical, community-oriented feel rather than a purely scenic one. It also serves as a natural route toward Wat Phra Yai, the hilltop temple, with the path up combining stairs and ramps through attractive greenery. Visitors looking for a quiet, unhurried experience will find the varied terrain and shaded walkways a pleasant contrast to the busier parts of Pattaya. The park sees its heaviest foot traffic in the early mornings and evenings when locals come to exercise, so those seeking a quieter visit may prefer mid-morning or mid-afternoon. No entry fee is indicated, and the terrain involves some inclines, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended, particularly for anyone continuing on to the temple.

Visitor Reviews
Large park on the slopes & peaks of Pratamnak Hill. Busy in the mornings & evenings with people walking & exercising. Full of lots of different areas & infrastructure. Lots of playgrounds & exercise areas & seats & lookouts. Includes a designated walking loop, with every 100m segment of the trail signposted. Plus a few exercise stations on the loop. Also contains a few temples & shrines, the most famous & busiest one being the Wat Phra Yai, featuring a large golden sitting Buddha statue.
Nice parkon the way to Wat Phra yi. There are stairs and ramp combination to walk through beautiful landscape to reach the temple-wat. A variety of combination can be done including the use of public open air fitness equipments along the way. This is a nice experience to reach to the temple with nice city and sea views. One must do it as this is not a big hike.
A very pleasant place for a morning jog or walk. The park is small – just an area with a path and a green alley around the lake. There are exercise equipment, restrooms, a playground, and benches.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
