Erawan Falls
Climb. That's my whole advice here. The lower tiers of this seven-level waterfall are where the coaches stop and where local families spread out for the day, and on a weekend the first two pools are loud, social and packed. Keep walking. The forest trail between levels is good in itself, dense canopy and water running beside you the whole way, and by the upper tiers you'll be sharing a pool with a handful of people instead of a hundred.
The water is that pale green you get from limestone, and each tier holds its own pool you can actually swim in. The surrounding jungle is protected, so there's no development creeping in on it. Come between July and October, during and just after the rains, and the flow is at its strongest and the pools at their deepest.
