Boon Rawd farm
Boon Rawd Farm, also known as Singha Park, is a large working farm and leisure destination set across rolling hills in Mueang Chiang Rai District. The farm is perhaps best recognised for its extensive tea plantations, which stretch across the hillside and offer picturesque views. Beyond the fields, visitors can explore a swan lake, a petting zoo where they can feed zebras and interact with other animals, and a range of on-site shops selling coffee, baked goods, and other produce. Seasonal events, including hot air balloon festivals, draw additional crowds and give the farm a distinct character beyond a typical agricultural attraction. Entry to the farm itself is free, though visitors should be aware that accessing certain areas or attractions within the park requires purchasing additional tickets. A shuttle bus service, priced at around 150 baht, departs from near the entrance and stops at various points throughout the grounds, which is a practical option given the farm's considerable size. Those arriving by car can drive through sections of the park independently. The farm opens daily from 08:00 to 17:00, making a morning arrival advisable, particularly during warmer months when afternoon heat can make outdoor exploration more demanding. Given the open terrain and sun exposure, light breathable clothing, sunscreen, and a hat are worth packing. Visitors arriving by ride-hailing apps such as Grab should confirm return transport in advance, as the location is somewhat outside central Chiang Rai.

Visitor Reviews
My visit to Boon Rawd Farm in Chiang Rai was an adventure from the start. Arriving at 1 pm via Grab, the hot weather added a touch of challenge to the exploration. The expansive farm, known for its picturesque landscapes, felt like a haven despite the scorching sun. The main highlight was the opportunity to capture stunning photos of the iconic statues on the premises. The intricate details and cultural significance of these sculptures added a layer of enrichment to the visit. However, due to a small oversight, I couldn't rent a golf cart – a lesson learned about always carrying an ID. The promise to return with the necessary identification for a golf cart rental adds anticipation for the next visit. Despite the minor setback, the experience was positive. The farm's vastness allowed for a pleasant walk, providing a closer connection to nature. The greenery and serenity of the surroundings served as a reminder of the beauty that unfolds in unexpected places. For future visits, a golf cart rental is on the agenda, promising a more comprehensive exploration of Boon Rawd Farm's expansive landscapes. The farm holds the potential for an even richer experience, promising a blend of nature, culture, and convenience. 🌳📸⛳
To go to the farm you go to Singhra park. You can buy a bus ticket that drops you off at various points for 150 baht. There’s a swan lake, a petting zoo where you can feed zebras & see rabbits & other small animals. You also get to stop at the tea plantation and sample some tea. The bus comes every 15 minutes to each point. Lovely experience
This is the location of singha park. The front desk is available for ticket sales to visit. And there are shops that serve coffee and other goods. And have a cheap bakery.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
