Tube Trek Waterpark
Situated in San Kamphaeng district, a short drive from central Chiang Mai, this waterpark offers a genuinely affordable full-day outing for families, groups, and travellers looking to escape the northern Thailand heat. Tiered entry starts at 199 baht, covering access to a wave pool, children's play zone, and lazy river, while an upgraded ticket opens the Extreme Zone with larger slides — making it straightforward to tailor the visit to different ages and energy levels. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, with clean facilities and helpful staff noted consistently by visitors. On-site food and drinks add convenience, with reviewers highlighting reasonably priced meals, a macadamia latte, and small pizzas as standout options. The park suits casual day-trippers rather than those expecting a large-scale theme park, and has developed a following among longer-stay visitors to Chiang Mai as a reliable, repeat-worthy destination. Good to know: ticket pricing for children is based on weight rather than age alone, so it is worth confirming the current tiers before arriving. Water levels tend to be naturally higher during and just after the rainy season, roughly May to October, which can enhance the tubing and slide experience. As opening hours are not consistently listed online, checking in advance with a local guesthouse or tour operator is advisable. Secure-strap sandals or water shoes are recommended, and bringing a dry change of clothes along with a waterproof bag for valuables will help make the most of the day.

Visitor Reviews
About $6 US for the basic entry, and 12 if you want to do the big slides. Food is reasonable and delicious! (The macadamia latte was on point!) The little pizzas were good as well, but the sauce is sweet - but bad, but not what an American kid would be expecting :) We went on a weekend afternoon and there was almost no one there. The kids didn't want to wait for any of the slides. The water was the cleanest I've seen from any place like this is Thailand. The wave pool was very nice, but the waves are VERY small. A lot of locals were here, and a few tourists - which I love doing things that are more local and less touristy. You do need to have actual swim wear (no cotton or even sports shirts) but you can purchase swimwear there if you need to for a reasonable price as well. The kids had the best time!! I'm sure it will be a highlight of their trip here! You really can't beat it for the price!
I don’t understand why people are down on this water park. It’s a great time for young and old(er). 💦🌞. Admission of 199 baht gets you access to the wave pool, children’s play zone and lazy river. The play zone is not just for small kids either. The teens that came with me enjoyed the slides there and such a great way to beat the heat. For 399 baht you get a wristband which gets you admission to all the big slides. And they are really quite fun. Incredible how Uncrowded this park is. Spent all afternoon and never had to wait on any slide. Food and drinks not over priced. Just don’t wear cotton swimming clothing. 😳. DO wear your flip flops or sandals. Walking between attractions is scorching hot. Parking is convenient. This deserves more popularity. 👍🕶️
It is Chiang Mai Water Park with the best cost-effectiveness. It is a great place to visit often while living in Chiang Mai for a month with my 9-year-old son. It is a pleasant summer place where you can relax and use it because the entrance fee is cheap and there are not many people. You can use it safely without worrying about your belongings without using the locker. However, you cannot bring in food, and you have to charge your bracelet and use the snack bar.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
