Ban Rabiang Na Pa Bong Piang
Nestled in the mountainous Mae Chaem district of Chiang Mai, Ban Rabiang Na Pa Bong Piang is a countryside accommodation and scenic spot centred around sweeping rice terrace views. The setting is genuinely rural and unhurried, drawing visitors who want to step away from conventional tourism and experience the quieter rhythms of northern Thailand's highland villages. Traditional wooden houses, fresh mountain air, and peaceful paddy field landscapes form the core appeal of the place. Guests staying overnight can expect accommodation with direct rice field views, though the remote location means there are few dining options nearby. The property provides meals at set times, so self-catering supplies are worth bringing for snacks or meals in between. Day visitors also pass through, particularly those combining the stop with nearby waterfall visits, though the landscape is most rewarding during the wet and early cool seasons when the rice terraces are lush and green. During the dry season, the scenery is noticeably less dramatic. Good to know: The drive from Chiang Mai city takes approximately two hours, and the road conditions are manageable but suited to confident drivers. The cool season from November to February offers the most comfortable temperatures for outdoor exploration, though late in the dry season the terraces lose much of their colour. Communication with the property can be inconsistent, so allow extra time when making enquiries and consider having a Thai-speaking contact assist with arrangements if needed.

Visitor Reviews
Nice accommodation with the ricefield view, be prepared to bring your own food since there is no restaurant around or you will be hungry until the meal time that the accommodation provide. Will be good when you visit on the green season. The way to reach there is narrow and in the mountain drive. Safe drive.
We did not stay but we were the only visitors until a lovely small family from Israel stopped by and then we talked about Texas and guns lol with the husband. My girlfriend from Thailand enjoyed all of the beautiful mountain views and sunset!
Very amazing place, rice terrace make me feeling peaceful and fresh air, road condition is ok ,not bad, drive from city around 2hours , I will visit again

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
