Visitor Reviews
We spent a wonderful week at Marina Yoga Retreat in Thailand and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the owner and staff made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. A special mention to Margriet, who was absolutely fantastic so warm, helpful and genuinely caring from the moment we arrived. The yoga sessions were held twice daily with excellent teachers, and there were other activities available in between if you wanted to stay active or explore. One of our favourite touches was the option of enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal each evening — such a lovely way to end the day. The retreat itself is set in a quaint, tranquil location that feels peaceful and relaxing, yet it’s close enough to town that there’s plenty to see and do nearby. Having mopeds available to hire on site made getting around incredibly easy. We also loved having access to a beautiful pool just a couple of minutes down the road, and the on-site laundry facilities were really convenient. Our room was comfortable and charming, with a sweet little kitchen area that made it feel like a home away from home. Everything about our stay felt thoughtful and well cared for. We truly loved our experience at Marina Yoga and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly and well-run retreat. It’s an amazing place with amazing people, and we can’t wait to return.
Where to start. One of the most amazing retreats you can imagine. If you’re looking for a welcoming, grounding and relaxing stay, this is the place to go. Marina, Margaret, Cinco, Jeremy and Tatiana are all very warm hearted & kind and really making you feel at home. All the dogs and cats are also very special, really cute and into cuddling. I booked the healing package (reiki, ear candeling, sound bath) and I’m so grateful for the treatments/ sessions, they were very powerful and deep. Ive done these type of sessions at other place but this felt like a next level. What I also liked is that it’s not a ‘look at me being spiritual and awakened’ kind of place. It’s very authentic and down to earth in the way they connect and work. I love the passion all of them put in their work and the connection with the guests staying. I felt so much at home that I felt sad to leave.
I spent 5 wonderful nights at Marina Yoga Retreat and truly enjoyed every moment. The yoga sessions were fantastic, and the teachers were outstanding. Marina and Margriet were incredibly kind, helpful, and created such a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The pool, just a short stroll away, was perfectly refreshing after classes. The rooms are a bit dated but cozy and fully equipped with everything you need, just don’t expect a 5-star hotel. It’s a little way from the city, but you can easily rent a scooter or take a Grab/Bolt ride. Plus, snacks and drinks are available right on-site. Overall, it’s a peaceful haven for unwinding. In a world rushing by, places like this remind us to pause, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves. Thank you!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
