Royal Kamala
Situated in the Kamala area of Phuket, Royal Kamala is a residential-style condominium complex catering to travellers seeking a longer, more settled stay rather than a typical hotel experience. The property suits guests who prefer a quieter, home-like environment, with standout features including private pool access for certain units and a peaceful setting away from the noise of the main streets. Guests consistently highlight the attentive management team, who are noted for being responsive, helpful, and personally welcoming — going so far as to acknowledge birthdays and personal occasions. The atmosphere is calm and residential, making it well suited to extended stays of several weeks. The location places guests within easy reach of local food outlets, though a vehicle or transport is advisable for reaching the beach and wider Phuket attractions. Good to know: Royal Kamala is best suited to those planning stays of a week or more who value a quiet environment over resort-style amenities. Prospective guests should be aware that the property has a notable cat population on the grounds, which some past visitors have found disruptive, particularly at night near the pool and garden areas. Checking the Facebook page ahead of booking is worthwhile for current details on unit availability and amenities, as the offering can vary depending on the specific accommodation arranged.

Visitor Reviews
This is a quiet and cozy place, away from the noise of the streets. The manager and administrator are very nice, always ready to help, personally congratulating on birthdays and other holidays. We lived here for a year and we liked everything very much, the price for accommodation is reasonable, the rooms are spacious. If I ever find myself in Thailand, I will definitely try to stay here.
Very quiet place and a good location but transport is needed if you want the beach. Some food outlets near
I stayed here for 3 weeks from December 19 to January 11, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. There are various complementaries around the place, and we even got our own private pool upstairs! However, there are many minor issues with the place (or perhaps just our room in particular). For one, there's a lot of ants around the place and WILL eat your food if left out in the open (especially if not sealed properly), so I recommend getting something that repels ants. Another thing is that 1.5 weeks into the holiday we got a pool refill, but the water ended up being acidic and irritating to the skin. We did call somebody to help fix it, but they would come on the second week. Unfortunately, the pool remained acidic and we didn't swim in there afterwards. The lights inside also didn't work, but we got that fixed! Fabian's a nice guy by the way, you should talk to him There's also a larger public pool outside, if you're lucky you can catch the lights going on in it: the kid's pool turns rainbow, and the rest turns a random color. Unfortunately we were unable to go in it when the lights were on because we were always out >:/ But the cats outside made up for it, sister named him 'Blacky' for some reason... pretty bland, but he's still cute >u

Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
