Pattaya Palace ตำหนักพัทยา
Despite being listed under Temples & Culture, Pattaya Palace operates primarily as a private vacation home rental in Pattaya's Bang Lamung District. Recent visitors note that the property has undergone exterior renovations, addressing earlier concerns about its condition, and arrivals in 2025 and 2026 have found it to be clean, well-maintained, and consistent with its listing photos. The standout feature for most guests is the swimming pool, described as spacious with a dedicated children's pool alongside it — a practical bonus for families. The housekeeping staff receives consistent praise for attentiveness and helpfulness, and the overall atmosphere is described as relaxed and comfortable, making it a suitable base for those wanting a quieter, self-contained stay rather than a hotel experience. Given the mixed older reviews alongside strongly positive recent ones, prospective guests should look for up-to-date photos and confirm current conditions directly before booking. No official website or published opening hours are listed, so reaching out through the booking platform used to secure the property is the most reliable way to clarify check-in arrangements, pool access, and available amenities ahead of arrival.

Visitor Reviews
I visited on January 1st, 2026. I read the reviews after paying for the accommodation, and they weren't very good. But when I arrived, the exterior of the house had been renovated; it wasn't as old as the reviews said. The bedrooms were beautiful; they've added one more room, making it four bedrooms instead of three. The staff provided good service. The slide has been replaced and is longer than before.
The housekeeper was very helpful and provided excellent service. The house was lovely, clean, and exactly as pictured. The swimming pool was huge. I highly recommend it. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
This house is amazing! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vacation home. The service is great, the house is beautiful, and the pool is spacious with a children's pool. 10/10!
Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
