Baan Sukhawadee
Baan Sukhawadee is a sprawling, elaborately decorated estate on Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya, originally built as the private residence of one of the city's most prominent families. The property combines elements of a traditional Thai mansion, temple grounds, and ornamental gardens into a single expansive complex, making it one of the more distinctive cultural attractions in the region. Visitors are drawn to its intricate architectural detail, colourful facades, and an impressive collection of religious statues, including a notably beautiful Guan Yin figure and various Buddha images set throughout the grounds. A visit here involves a considerable amount of walking, as the estate covers a large area with numerous photo opportunities around every corner. The complex includes a buffet restaurant and entertainment areas, and the grounds take on a different character after dark when illuminated lighting transforms the architecture into a particularly striking night-time spectacle. The views over the bay can be enjoyed from the property during both day and evening. Open daily from 09:00 to 21:00, Baan Sukhawadee can be visited independently without a tour group, though guided tours are also available. Given the religious statues and temple elements on the property, visitors are encouraged to dress modestly as a mark of respect. Arriving in the late afternoon allows guests to experience both the daytime gardens and the illuminated evening atmosphere in a single visit. Complimentary water is provided with entry.

Visitor Reviews
This place is amazing!! It's huge! You will walk a lot. There are lots of wonderful photo opportunities. There is a buffet, they give you a water as well. I went without a tour group. I recommend going in the afternoon to see the sunset, and also to see the lights light on. Take a tripod to take pictures. You will take a lot, just like a did.
Amazing place to visit. Beautifully put together. Excellent view over the bay day and night. Great buffet and entertainment areas. The lights look fabulous when the sun goes down.

Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
