I joined a meditation retreat for 7 days at the Samui International Meditation Center with no prior meditation experience and it exceeded all my expectations. From the first moment, I felt genuinely welcomed and supported. The teachers are outstanding—knowledgeable, patient, and deeply kind. They provide practical meditation tools that are easy to understand and truly useful for everyday life. The program is well structured, insightful, and varied. I spent 4 days at this meditation center. Nate was our monk/teacher during my stay. He was incredible… I learned so much about meditation and Buddhism. I joined a 3 day retreat in February and it completely blew my mind. The centre is well kept and organised. The food was delicious and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I loved the meditation and I can’t wait to get back and practice with the monks and their team again. Amazing!

Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
