Pavilion Samui Villas & Resort
Pavilion Samui Villas & Resort sits directly on Had Lamai Beach, one of Koh Samui's more relaxed stretches of coastline, offering villa-style accommodation with private plunge pools and hydro pool options. The property draws repeat visitors for its attentive staff, well-equipped rooms, and a beachfront setting that places guests within walking distance of local restaurants, a night market, and the broader Lamai dining scene. Breakfasts are notably generous, with a wide variety of options, and the on-site bar runs a popular happy hour. The Lamai area strikes a balance between accessibility and tranquility, sitting quieter than the busier Chaweng Beach while still offering easy access to transport and amenities. Villa-style rooms appeal to couples and families seeking more privacy, and the hydro pool villas in particular are highlighted by guests as strong value for money. Non-guests have also found the resort welcoming for beach access, reflecting the property's generally hospitable atmosphere. Good to know: Koh Samui's dry season runs from December to February, which is peak tourist season and typically the most comfortable time to visit. Booking in advance is advisable during these months, particularly for the more popular villa categories. The resort is located at 124 Thanon Had Lamai, and the surrounding area offers plenty of beachfront dining options within easy walking distance.

Visitor Reviews
If you’re looking for the best value for your money, I highly recommend booking a hydro pool villa. We’d originally booked a plunge pool suite and upgraded to a hydro pool villa. The location of our HPV was just perfect, and for a little more money (or even the same amount, depending on when and where you book) you get a pool you can actually swim in, not just a tiny plunge pool. The bathroom, and especially the shower, was in better condition there as well. However, I was a bit disappointed that there was no proper roof or cover providing enough protection from the sun/rain or a somewhat sheltered space to sit under comfortably during rainy periods like in the PPS, which made the outdoor experience a little less enjoyable compared to the first room (you can’t move the chairs underneath the small area covered by the roof of the villa as the steps leading to the room are located there). The staff were very attentive and friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They were quick to learn about our “habits“ (like knowing how we prefer our coffee in the morning or providing me with an ashtray every time I went down to the beach) which added a nice touch to our overall experience. The hotel itself, as well as the beach, looked clean and well taken care of. It’s ideally located in my opinion as well, with the Lamai Night Market, several bars and shops, nice restaurants and a Seven Eleven within walking distance. Thank you for having us!!!
Beautiful property. Our 3rd visit, close to great shopping (night market next door) and restaurants (try Nana Tam down the street - we ate there 6 times!!)!! The property bar has excellent "happy hours" and fun food events. The staff are exceptional, particularly Mew. She was professional and friendly and always willing to assist with any of our inquiries. The rooms are spacious, SUPER clean and quiet. The AC works very well. The safe is actually connected to a wall. There is a small fridge in the room and coffee supplies. GREAT breakfast included. Love the private plunge pool! VERY comfortable bed and lots of pillows! The property has 2 large pools plus a fun kids pool. Lots of lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this resort!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! 🤩The breakfasts are very generous, with a wide variety of options, so everyone can find something they like. The rooms are fully equipped with all essential amenities from bathrobes and slippers to toiletries and hygiene items, including cotton swabs or shower cap. The staff is outstanding! 🫠🤍Always kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They regularly ask if everything is okay and if you need anything, which really shows their passion and heartfelt hospitality. The location is excellent, very close to the night market, and the direct access to the sea is a huge advantage and makes the stay even more special. Highly recommended!☀️🤍
Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
