King's Garden Resort
King's Garden Resort sits directly on the beach along Chaweng Beach Road in Koh Samui, offering guests a quieter, garden-focused alternative to the island's more commercial resort options. The property consists of detached bungalows set among lush tropical gardens, with direct beach access that guests consistently highlight as one of its strongest features. A beach bar and on-site massage services add to the laid-back coastal experience without straying far from the sand. Visitors can expect comfortable, well-maintained bungalows that vary in size depending on the category booked, with bright and practical furnishings throughout. The breakfast buffet draws repeated praise from guests, and the surrounding gardens create a calm atmosphere that sets the resort apart from the busier stretches of Chaweng. Staff are noted as friendly and accommodating, with at least one account crediting the team with rescuing a last-minute holiday booking entirely. Good to know: Specific room categories vary in size and outlook, so it is worth contacting the resort directly before booking to confirm which bungalow type best suits your needs. Chaweng Beach Road is one of Koh Samui's busiest corridors, but the resort's garden setting provides a reasonable buffer from the surrounding noise. Travelling during the shoulder months of April to May or September to October can mean fewer crowds while still enjoying largely favourable weather conditions.

Visitor Reviews
Thank you for saving our vacation!!! After we made a very poor research and choice with our initial holiday booked, we were super lucky to get a last minute cancellation availability here! Beautiful property with amazing staff and great breakfast. Very cosy family atmosphere with a lot of repeat and long stay clients. A well run - animal friendly- resort with the owner staying on property to ensure smooth operations. If you don't need a pool for your vacation, this is the best choice in Chaweng!!!
Our stay at Kings Garden Resort was absolutely wonderful! The resort is located right by the sea, offering stunning views and easy access to the beach. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a great variety of options, and the service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would love to come back again. Highly recommended! A small tip: try not to book the very first bungalow near the street, as there’s a pub across the road that plays loud music until around midnight. However, this wasn’t really a problem for us — once we mentioned it to the staff, they immediately offered us another bungalow without any hassle.
I highly recommend this resort. The bungalows are lovely, breakfast amazing. Has one of the best beach access here in Samui. Beach bar and massages right on the beach. If we ever return to Ko Samui, we would definetely choose the King’s garden resort ! Thank you we had our best time here on the island 🌴.
Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
