Thepprasit Night Market
One of Pattaya's largest and most popular open-air markets, Thepprasit draws a lively mix of locals and international visitors every evening of the week. Notably clean and fully covered by street market standards, it stands out as a practical and sociable alternative to the more tourist-facing options elsewhere in the city. Alongside vendors selling clothing, cosmetics, and accessories, the food zone is widely regarded as the main draw and the primary reason most visitors make the trip. The market's food stalls serve fresh BBQ seafood, Pad Thai, grilled meats, noodles, curries, and a particularly well-regarded selection of sweet desserts. Visitors note that the dessert and snack offerings tend to be more consistent, while savoury dishes can vary in quality between stalls — sampling before committing to a larger order is a sensible approach. Prices are generally affordable and compare favourably to some of Pattaya's other night markets, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious travellers. Good to know: The market runs daily from 5:00pm to 10:30pm, with the liveliest atmosphere and the fullest selection of stalls typically found between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Most vendors operate on a cash-only basis, so arriving with Thai baht is advisable. Comfortable footwear is recommended, as the market covers a considerable amount of ground.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
