Sailom Hua Hin Restaurant
Attached to the Sailom Hotel on Phet Kasem Road, this beachfront restaurant is a reliable stop for fresh seafood and classic Thai cooking in Hua Hin. Its coastal setting and straightforward approach to Thai cuisine draw a steady mix of tourists and repeat local visitors, with grilled river prawns and whole fish among the standout dishes. Portions are notably generous — reviewers mention a single fish being enough to share between two people — and the menu extends to European options for those travelling with mixed tastes. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, with an open-air seaside feel that suits casual lunches and unhurried dinners alike. Service is generally attentive and friendly, with drinks arriving promptly. The restaurant sits almost directly opposite Blúport Mall, making it easy to combine with a shopping trip or use as a landmark when navigating the area. Guests are permitted to bring their own wine, which helps keep costs in check at mid-range pricing. Good to know: Diners with dietary restrictions, particularly those avoiding pork, should communicate this clearly when ordering, as not all dishes are labelled and some may contain pork without obvious indication. Opening hours are not listed publicly, so it is worth contacting the hotel directly before making a trip, especially outside peak season. Walk-ins appear to be the norm, and advance reservations are unlikely to be necessary for most visits.

Visitor Reviews
Sailom Restaurant 4 stars Location - almost across from Blúport Mall on Phet Kasem. It’s connected to Sailom Hotel (beachfront) Restaurant - we’ve been here several times. Today we went for lunch at around 11:15 on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Only 1 other table was occupied. Outdoors, ocean view, always seems to be a nice breeze blowing, covered and uncovered seating, steps down to the beach Menu - English with photographs (very helpful!); Thai food Food - food is consistently good and arrives quickly and at appropriate temperature. Staff - courteous, professional, attentive Price - we paid 976 baht for 3 dishes, 1 sticky rice, and 2 non-alcoholic drinks. Recommend - if this place is in your budget, recommend trying
A nice restaurant by the sea. Classic Thai style. The service is good, and the staff are friendly. Drinks are served right away. The fish was cooked quite fast. The portions are very big — one fish was enough for two people. Tasty and filling. The only strange thing is that they don’t put ice in the drinks by default, unlike most other restaurants. Attention! They will add a 10% service fee to the bill and then add a 7% tax on top of everything. Another rip-off of customers. They are required to warn in the menu that the price will increase. What to do if the customer has calculated the food for the remaining money and there is no more?!
Classic beachfront dining with a focus on fresh seafood, Sailom Hua Hin serves up authentic Thai flavors in a relaxed coastal setting. The grilled river prawns were beautifully charred and juicy, while the tom yum soup offered a sharp, aromatic kick. Stir-fried crab, spicy squid, and their signature fried fish delivered solid satisfaction, though some dishes could benefit from more finesse in presentation. Service was friendly and efficient, and the beachside ambiance added charm to the overall experience. A great stop for a hearty Thai seafood feast with a view. 🦐🌶️🍲
Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
