Magic Food Point (Airport Street food)

4.1(3,666 reviews)

Tucked away in a far corner of the first floor at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, this bustling food court offers one of the most affordable and varied eating options in the terminal. Popular with both travellers and airport staff, it stands out for its wide selection of authentic Thai dishes — from khao man gai and crispy chicken with rice to Thai congee, spicy noodles, and mango sticky rice — all displayed on boards with prices and food images so ordering is straightforward even without Thai language skills. The atmosphere is casual and often lively, with a self-service setup that keeps things moving quickly. Because prices are notably lower than most other airport dining options, it draws consistent crowds regardless of the hour, making it a practical choice for budget-conscious travellers or those feeding a large group with varied tastes. The variety of stalls means different preferences can be accommodated without compromise. Good to know: The food court operates around the clock every day of the week, which makes it a reliable option for early departures, late arrivals, or long layovers. Payment is handled through a prepaid card system rather than direct cash at each stall, so be prepared to load credit at a central counter before ordering. Due to its popularity and somewhat out-of-the-way location, allow extra time to find it and to queue during busy periods.

Visitor Reviews

This place is hidden away at the far corner of the airport, but it’s definitely worth walking over. There are lots of food choices available, so you won’t be stuck with just one or two options, and there’s plenty of seating too, which makes it easy to relax. Pricing is very reasonable compared to most other airport restaurants, which is a huge plus. You get decent food without the usual “airport price shock.” Do remember to get the card from the counter near the entrance before going to the food stalls. Overall, a great place to chill, eat, and rest if you’re waiting for your flight at BKK. Highly recommend checking it out if you have time to spare! ✈️🍽️

The food is lot cheaper than others places in the airport, so much choices too so if you are travelling in a big group everyone gets their favourites, noone has to gives in! Personally tried mango sticky rice, pad kra pow and also the som tam. Pad kra pow is just so-so but the other two is nice, especially somtam, we actually reordered after we had the one with fried fish.

They had many variety of Thai food with affordable price. Very good food court in the airport. We had many menus like crispy chicken withcrice, Thai congee, Thai spicy noodle, Thai offal soup, roasted duck with rice, avocado smoothie, cakes and bakery. The staffs were quite nice. The area was packed and crowded. You have to exchange money to food court card before buying food. It was in the 1st floor of the airport.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food

Learn the Spice Scale

Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.

Follow the Crowds

The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.

Ice Is Safe

Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
