Noodle Soup & Padthai
Tucked along Soi Tha Warukri in Ayutthaya, this small, no-frills restaurant keeps its menu deliberately narrow, specialising in two Thai staples: noodle soup and pad thai. The chicken noodle soup draws particular praise from visitors, with portions noted as generous and ingredient-heavy, and prices as low as 70 baht making it one of the more affordable sit-down options in the area. A bonus for those eating in is the view of nearby Wat Ratchaburana, placing this spot conveniently close to the historical park without sitting directly in the tourist centre. The atmosphere is casual and local, with efficient counter-style service and a dining room that fills up quickly during peak hours. Portions are substantial enough that staff have been known to check whether customers really intend to order multiple dishes, which gives some sense of the serving sizes on offer. As with many small local eateries, experiences can vary, and a small number of visitors have found the pad thai underwhelming, so it is worth bearing that in mind when ordering. Good to know: The restaurant opens every day from 8am to 3pm and closes by mid-afternoon without exception, so it is best suited to breakfast or an early lunch rather than a late meal. Arriving before or just after the midday rush is advisable, as seating is limited and the space fills fast. No website is available, so walk-in is the only option.

Visitor Reviews
Highly recommended. I ordered a padthai and a noodle soup. The waiteress warned me, if i really want both because its a lot. I wondered, because i often ordered 2 or 3 dishes and never got a warning. When its served i understood, the portion is big. Big bowl of soup and the padthai more than the double you usually get. And in the soup was so much chicken, it must be 1/2 of a whole chicken and only pure meat. The padthai came with a lot peanuts in an extra bowl. The taste was just good. The Coke in can was 15 (!) Baht... Thats cheaper than 7/11.... It will be maybe not the best food in your life but i doubt you will find a better value for money for good food. And ... You sit in front of a world heritage site and enjoy the view
The waiter was rude at the beginning. The place was full and I wanted to ask how mich time we need to wait. She sent us away, but we went back later at the end we had a good experience.
Went twice during my stay in Ayuttaya, had the chicken noodles both times. Big portion, tasty and only 70 baht. 💯

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
