DAYOFF bar and bistro Ayutthaya
Tucked away in the Sam Ruean area of Ayutthaya's Uthai district, this relaxed bar and bistro has quickly established itself as a popular evening hangout, drawing in locals and visitors looking to decompress after a day of sightseeing. The camp-style open-air setting creates a laid-back vibe that pairs well with soft background music and cold drinks, making it a natural place to settle in for the evening. Guests can expect a casual atmosphere with live music, a food menu that has earned consistent praise for its flavour, and a venue designed for lingering. The open-air setup means the surroundings feel breezy and informal, though it does come with the occasional mosquito. The venue addresses this thoughtfully by providing mosquito repellent spray and fans at each table, which reviewers have noted as a welcome touch. Parking is available on site, and the bathrooms have been described as clean and accessible. A few practical points worth knowing before visiting: DAYOFF is open evenings only, from 18:00 to midnight, and is closed on Mondays. The venue enforces Thailand's legal drinking age, so guests under 20 will not be served alcohol — ID checks are carried out. Given its popularity among the local student crowd and its position near dormitories, arriving earlier in the evening is advisable on weekends. Check the Facebook page for updates on live music schedules or any changes to opening hours.

Visitor Reviews
Take a break from work and unwind at Dayoff, a newly opened bar with a relaxed, camp-style vibe. Listen to some soft music and unwind with a beer or two. It's a great way to unwind after a long day at work. The food menu is reasonably priced and has a decent selection. Today, I ordered the deep-fried pork belly with fish sauce and fried chicken wings as a light snack. Both were delicious, but I wish they had included seafood sauce. 🥺 It would have been spicier, as both were fried so well. This bar offers a special promotion on two beers: Chang and Leo. Order two and get a free bucket of ice. It's a great deal. If you like big beers, go for Chang. If you like agile, go for Leo. Choose your favorite. Overall, I liked it. It was relaxing. The staff provided excellent service and were attentive. They were always there to help and chat with me. I'll definitely be back. 📌Live music starts around 8:30 PM (today, it started at 8:19 PM).
A new chill hangout spot near the dorms in Ayutthaya!!! Just opened recently. Great atmosphere, good music, delicious food. A bit of a mosquito swarm, but forgivable because they provide mosquito repellent at every table 😂 They also have a beer promotion right now!
A newly opened chill-out spot with ample parking. The food is okay. There's live music. The bathrooms are convenient and inviting. Overall, everything is okay.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
