Busaba Ayutthaya Cuisine
Sitting on Thanon Uthong within easy reach of Wat Ratchaburana, Busaba Ayutthaya Cuisine blends the roles of café and full-service restaurant, making it a practical and genuinely pleasant stop at any point during a day of temple sightseeing. The outdoor seating area beside the river is a particular draw, offering shade and calm that visitors consistently describe as unexpectedly serene — the kind of place where a quick coffee stop tends to stretch into a longer meal. The menu covers traditional Ayutthaya dishes, coffee, and desserts, with the sweets earning special attention from visitors who wandered in primarily for the air conditioning and left impressed. The coffee is noted as a step above typical café offerings, and the Thai cooking receives steady praise. Staff are described as friendly and attentive across visits. One honest limitation: the vegetarian options on the food menu are limited, so plant-based eaters may find the selection narrow. Good to know: Busaba opens seven days a week, from 9:30 AM on weekends and 10:00 AM on weekdays, closing at 7:30 PM each evening. Bicycle parking is available on-site alongside a small number of car spaces, which suits Ayutthaya well given how many visitors explore the area by bike. For current menu items and seasonal offerings, their Instagram account is the most reliable source of up-to-date information.

Serendipity: Stopped in for afternoon coffee, staff is wonderful and mentioned sitting outside, wandered out by the river - serene setting! Seamless service 👍🏻 as coffee (delicious) turned into salad and set plate and dessert and cocktails… an oasis of great food, tranquil setting, and warm gracious service just off the beaten path!
Wonderful! Great place for nice food, coffee and dessert! Not too far from the popular Wat - Ratchaburana. There's a few car park lots, and you can park your bicycle right there too. There are more seats further in! Really cool. Great coffee and cakes! Haven't tried the food but looks so yummy! Note there's service charge 5%
A very hot day and we encountered this cafe, decided to enter just for the AC but their dessert was actually the star player of the cafe! Overall would recommend when you are exhausted and need a sweet treat! They do offer main courses as well too p.s. of course the AC is another MVP!

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
